SHIT!! I was just in Hillsboro about 2hrs ago! Could of at least swung by to check it out. Very sweet bike and probably pumped to the nuts!

Anaheim 2005, he finished the year on a 450. It could be parts from it but far from his race bike. Certainly not his suspension. $6000 for a 10 year old practice bike, pass.

I was thinking the same thing. Obviously production clamps which would mean production forks.. and most likely shock. For all we know it could just be the wheels, graphics, pipe, and clutch cover.

These white MDK bikes were/are fucking gorgeous!! Up there on my all time fav looking bikes list. I have such a weakness for white bikes...major woodage Woohoo

cool bike but way over priced. that bike wasn't factory at all, it was just a tricked out pro circuit race bike with all the goodies

Uhh?.....Well , I hate to tell you this , but anything ( I mean anything ) you buy is going to have "at best" re-worked production stuff. You may get something with some used factory A suspension , but you aren't going to pick that up for a few grand. You aren't ever going to find something with used factory parts ( unless it's like 20yrs old or something )

Little back story on Hillboro motosports. The help supply bikes to a LOT of really fast privateer's....and have for many , many years. I can guarantee you that Nyk's bike in that ad is for a 100% fact one of his practice or race bikes. It's part of the deal with some of the riders. They get free bikes , the riders hop the living shit out of them , race them , and then give them back to the dealer.

Since it was a tax write off for HSM and "given" to the rider as a sponsorship with no bill of sale......it can be re-sold as a "new bike" , with warranty and financing. Of course they aren't going to list it as new......but people that lend money look at these models as being something that they are willing to finance a guy if he wants it.....unlike a used bike.

I'll also say.....since this is Nyk's bike......there is probably a good $10,000 at least in suspension and motor work.....that's not including the after market goodies.You would spend a shit load more money building that exact bike from the ground up......then what they are selling it for.

It will be gone within the month at that price. And as far as that goes......that bike is probably one the baddest 2 strokes available any where in the country right now.

IMO from my experiences in this sport, the major benefits you see racers get don't come from getting this shock or that special part, but from the knowledge that the suspension guys such as Bones at PC and others bring to the table.

At my current level I think I would look a bit silly riding something that good but I get what you are saying. Just because the suspension works for this and that guy or has this and that part doesn't mean it is gonna work for you. When/if I lay down the green to get A-kit suspension I am pretty sure I would hire a tuner to come out and help me get it dialed in. It only makes sense to me when you are spending that kind of money on suspension. I've read in an MXA article that you can hire Bones personally to come to the track and help you get dialed in.. But whether you can afford him is another matter.
