So you guys want to know the real story behind Austin stroupe? I live in lake Elsinore which many people know as a motocross haven. Stroupe moved out here from the east cost and started hanging out with me and a few friends. No w me an my friends aren't the best role models but stroupe ended up hanging out with one kid the most, "Kumar". Now Kumar was a drug dealer who sold roxycottin, a less potent form of OxyContin. I seen Austin put 100$ a day up his nose just wasting his talent and money. He would be nodding off on the couch any time I came over. The kid turned into a looser. The team found out about this and told him many times to stop but he never did. Finally they just said F it and cut him. That's why he's working at his dads resturaunt back at home and wot ever be on the pro stage again.

Even if that's true I'll still pull for him when he gets back out there.
A lot of people get suckered into a bad addiction with those pain killers, opiates are fucking dangerous. It can happen to fast kid like austin or anyone else. wrong place wrong time.
Still remember this guy banging a holeshot and going RVs speed in his very first race, always been a fan.

Just a damn shame, kid was super talented. I watched him from 60's all the way up and it just sux. I don't understand addiction, because I don't have that personality thankfully.

Highly doubt he'll make a comeback. This wasn't discussed in mx media because the team didn't feel like completely destroying the kid. Although fans may not know exactly what happened, the teams in the industry know very well how he went out. Unless he's a privateer or signs to a miracle team I don't see him coming back.

Bashing? Whose bashing? I was friends with him and ya maybe it is a little biased because he dipped out back to the east coast while owing me 500$. His truck broke so I loaned him cash not thinking he would do that. But ask him yourself if the story is true if you don't believe me. I'm not the only one he still owes money too either...

If anyone on here thinks he didn't come back because he "couldn't pass a conclusion test" like you we're led to believe. Lets be real. A conclusion isn't an on going injury, eventually you heal unless you've had too many. And a kid with talent like his? Definetly the influence of a California lifestyle. I mean its paridise out in so-cal and everyone out here loves to party. For someone not used to it all it takes is trying a drug once to get hooked. Those pills are pretty much legal heroin. Pressures only break you if your weak minded. Stroupe didn't come across like that. He had a sick pad on the lake and a brand new Titan on 26"s. we would party there at first, just drinking and would have rediculous amounts of girls there. Once he started on the pills though that shit stopped and he just wanted to be fucked up all by himself.

the common denominator isn't from so cal, but there happens to be too much to do there. look at most of the pros who came to so cal, from other states, they get in trouble here, no supervision, money in their pocket and so much to do there. If you lived in bumf$%^ small town usa you'd be riding or working out, not partying it up.
