I disagree...if we both go deer hunting and you have a rifle, a shotgun, a bazooka and some hand grenades and all I have is a slingshot and we both get a deer...who's the bad ass?
That is a little extreme. Dungey has Roger Decoster. Ryan has Aldon Baker. They both have factory equipment.

If Dungey had a Rodney Smith managed factory Suzuki right now he'd be twenty points out front. Bank it. Tell 'em Bob!

I wouldn't say Dungey is the better racer but I would say I am more impressed with the discipline Dungey has knowing he doesn't have someone pushing him to train.

I think the more important quesrion is who would you rather have over the next 5 years if you were starting a team? I may go with Dungey since he is always there and has very few bad races. I dont believe he has ever had a 450 SX finish out of the top 10. Outdoors Dungey is even better. This years series may be the best yet.

I'm betting RV will be eating alot of RD's roost come outdoors. If he stays healthy and even shows up outdoors.

RD wins titles when everyone is hurt. Not to take anything away from him, he earned them fair and square but he doesnt hold a candle to RV when it comes to speed.

I personally think RV is on EPO/Steroids as well, but there is no denying the outright speed RV has.
Doesnt hold a candle? Ummmm, Dungey reeled in RV and passed him, and then gapped him.

Am I the only one who understands that BM said better, not faster? Dungey is so methodical it gets boring. Villopoto just kicks ass from the first gate drop....not boring. They both get the job done, respect for both.

RV is a stone cold corner eating mofo (and I am not a RV fan at all) and RD is a cool calculated mofo that picks his battles. I like the dynamic that both bring to the race every Saturday night and I respect both of their ability to ride the shit out of a dirt camel.

And as much as it pains me I actually agree with BobbyM, RD5 is a beast to be so self focused to compete at that level with just family support and no high profile trainer.

Dungey has the beast gene in him somewhere. His dad is like 6'2'' 250lbs, covered in tattoos and works construction.

RD doesn't get outa shape and doesn't crash

That'll stop you from winning titles-see RV

Bobby, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one.

Also, I'm going to have to move Mikey over, one spot, on your mantle & put Peick in-front of him.

Sorry.

I really question whether some of you actually watch the darn races, you just repeat the same rhetoric over and over.
Here is an idea, watch the MPLS race and see if you can pick out how the boring rider caught and passed the kick ass rider.
If you come back with methodical, you are a lost cause.

We all know that RV spends a lot of money paying the #1 trainer in the world (so we're told anyways) to make him the best he can be...correct?

We also know that Dungey doesn't pay anyone anything when it comes to a "trainer". Dungey pretty much is self trained and does not have a trainer/nutritionist/motivator/fluffer like RV does. Dungey has no help sans his family and is pretty much a one man gang. THAT is why Dungey is the resident BADASS and RV is not.
You cant say RV is not a bad mofo trainer or not... sorry. As a matter of a fact it probably makes him more of a Psycho to force someone to push and stretch him more then he could himself! Enough of this wheres that pleasurable Dianna D thread .... lol

dungey caught up to RV finally after the series is almost complete, now he's a better racer

RV isn't dumb, hes not going to risk the title over one race win. if he had to, he would of gladly strapped up his doc martens and give dungey a kick in the head had it needed to be done. it didnt, so he got 2nd.

the same thing will happen outdoors. RV will get a slow start, have some mid pack finishes, then all the sudden start yarding the field.

Maybe if there weren't 40 fucking threads on the same damn topic you'd see that I don't repeat the same damn rhetoric. And if you can't see Dungey's mode of operation for the last half dozen years, then maybe you are fucking blind. How is that, asshole?

Both are incredible riders with different styles, when they are done racing the record books will decide who was/is better.

Dungey would show Aldon a thing or two about training.

THIS IS NOT A FORUM ABOUT GOLF!!! Dung does not get a handicap because he trains himself. This thread is like a circle - pointless.

And the topic gets a 4.2 from the Polish judge. Clearly there was an automatic deduction for trolling content.

What a huge disappointment thats gotta be.

That's what I thought sister, you don't actually watch the races, you just continue to post the same BS that someone came up with 6 years ago.
