I have been a fan of Instagram since it hit the internet, but I feel that it has went into the wrong direction it was intended for. In our community, it was always fun going to see what the pro riders, media and teams had to share with us. However, now all you see are personal attacks on the people that share with us. I bet if you follow any person in the MX community on Instagram and look at the comments below their picture, you will see hate.

It's going to get to the point when these riders won't share their lives with us anymore. If your not a fan of the rider or person, don't follow them, don't just write negative comments because you're a fan of Reedy and not RV. Really doesn't matter what rider or team you like but come on do you feel better about yourself writing a hate message?

In my opinion, I think the riders should choose what comments appear on their page. This would make the person making the comment think before posting.

Sorry about complaining but the shit gets old sometimes.

It does suck but it's not just Instagram. Any social media that has comments is like that but eventually they will just quit sharing.

Its not just social media sites like FB, Instagram, Twitter. If you read comments on any news website or eh hem, forums, theres nasty comments every where. Think about Justin Bieber for example. The kid cant even go out in public without cameras and snotty razzi yelling shit to him. Look at his youtube video comments. Its amazing that people that claim he is gay and yada yada take the time to watch the video and leave a comment about it. Mark Cuban was on the Tonight Show and said he had someone on twitter threaten to burn his house. You should see some of the comments to Donald Trump. Pick ANY big name from any realm of entertainment and look at their twitter. You will find a negative comment instantly.
Anyways, the point is, the world is full of nasty people. Usually fueled by jealousy.

would be cool to see the photos of Reed and mates putting away a 30 case on an off-weekend. that's what i want to see, but that would really open the gates of hate from all the douchebag "fans"

Jason Ellis talked about this the other day on his show. They said there was some ass hat in England that was talking shit to a UFC fighter on twitter. The fighter then tweeted for someone to post the ass hat's address, drove to his house and tweeted for the ass hat to come out side. Then the back pedaling began. Even tweeted a pic of him in front of the ass hat's house.

Those who respond to social media are people without a social life themselves. They are not the stereotypical basement dwellers. They are doctors, lawyers, school teachers, police and fireman, etc, and generally highly educated. They are not capable of the ability to have positive relationships with actual human beings. The cloud has provided them a vehicle to release their anger.
I deleted my facebook account 6 months ago and could not be happier with that decision. Set up a new twitter account and will never give it out. It's only to follow people who matter to me. Deleted and blocked all personal email. If you have something to say to me then say it to my face using your voice, your eyes, and your mind. If you can't do that then fuck you. My life is to important to me to waste 1 second of it in cyberland.

in the future, the downfall of society will be attributed to the moment people could anonymously comment on the internet!

have a look at Transworld's site when it was anonymous there were sometimes 100's of comments on their videos or reports now that it's directly linked to your facebook it's crickets haha

and I'm with you thordude that's the only reason I go to instagram and it's awesome haha

In regards to crickets I don't think it's related to signing in. IMO it's related to the fact they need to do something about the way movies load on that site. I go there to watch something and back out because of the lag. Now you can watch the same movie hosted elsewhere with no issues. To be honest I think there are sites out there that have a knack for film making. Transworld doesn't come to mind, but Vital and Vurb do.

I know it is everywhere. Don't get me wrong with opinions, it's just that when it comes to our sport the social media is ruining it. I like seeing Shorty at the ranch and Izzi with his daughter. I just don't want fans to ruin the experience.

Now I don't follow many other sports so I don't know if the same goes on with NFL, NHL or NBA Instagram heroes.

Yeah, it's a bummer for sure. I've only browsed instagram a few times on James Stewart and his Malcom and it was pretty sad what was said. There needs to be some age limit on using the internet.

I've been sitting next to a number of top UFC athletes when tweets start coming in, they read them and usually laugh...but the sad part these keyboard jockeys don't understand is you're talking to another human. Not just a joke on a forum, watching some of my friends be bombarded with literally thousands of negative tweets...it plays a part in your attitude and sucks. The Internet has created a lot of tough 15 year olds. Next time u twat, think how u would speak to that person face to face. Have some respect for them living their life to entertain you. Weather it be moto, music, or fighting.

I don't known Curtis wood house, but love that he actually did that. JM

I saw something kinda like this peeley-, but it wasnt beer just a pristine bottle of Grey Goose haha, and it was the night he clinched the Outdoor title a few years back. He didnt drink nearly as much as some of the other guys...We were in Indy at a down town club and it was awesome. He bought me a cigar and we hung out for a while with a few peeps just chillin then to the clubs to party. He was the coolest dude ever and still to this day we talk once in a while about that night. Reed is the real deal and I will never forget that night.
