I've been out of the loop for a while, can someone dummy it down for me and tell me why everyone is so sure he's switching teams? I don't get it, seems like he rides the green dirt cycle pretty fast.

Has to do with the Supercross only contract. Kawasaki, wants to race, and develop, full time. Hence their increase in sales, and Yamahas, declining sales.

I don't get why Stewart would not want to keep racing the outdoors, as dominant as he is at it. That's disappointing to this fan.

Ok but where is the proof of his switching?

I can not prove it, but I can tell you, I have heard first hand from Larry Brooks, the L&M team manager.

James Stewart, is riding for L&M, on a Yamaha YZ450F in 2009 Supercross only.

Now, if you wish, you can go to Glen Helen, next Saturday, and ask for yourself.

I've always been a Stewart fan/supporter but I've never liked these SX-only type deals. I'll probably be cheering for someone else next year if this is the case.

I don't like the SX only contracts either, but some feel it prolongs their career. Also, if someone is willing to pay him the same amount of money for half the work, you can't really blame him.

b.s!! SX only contracts do nothing good for the sport. If all the top guys go SX only, the nationals will loose thier thunder. Its a damn disgrace is what it is!

Thats to long of a trip for me so I will just have to take your word for it.
Or maybe I can ask JS himself, seeing how he lives close to me.

You know I now understand, what I did not a few weeks ago.

Many of you know I have sponsored many top riders, and world contenders, many in the Speedway arena.

Recently, hanging with current National, and 1996 World Speedway Champion, Billy Hamil, not only a former rider of mine, but a true friend. In conversation, I asked him to come out and go ride with me. His reply made me understand.

He said, that when you race for a living, all your life (he was junior champion as well) you really don't feel like play riding.

So I guess, that these Supercross only contracts, are the step towards retirement. Anyway, that's how see it.

somedody who is near retirement like windham i can understand doing it. Or a privateer who struggles to get to the races. I should of been more specific. Sorry, my bad.
James belongs in the nationals, so does Chad.

I agree, they both should finish their careers in both series, but obviously, they don't feel the same.

There will be plenty of room come national time for James in the Yamaha factory rig. Will it happen? I dont know for sure but it is being talked about.

Yamaha is holding contract talk with every team, but L&M had a contract long ago pissing off some other teams. James and the outdoor series is a big reason why.

After going to the nationals I don’t blame the kid for not wanting to do them. They are a pain in the ass to get to, in red neck I hate black people country, and simply not run how they should.

I thought L&M had a deal with Unbound Energy? Is that deal done so James can get back with RedBull?

I think Chuck...Fusion energy, pushed them out, and I think also that may have been a Chad Reed deal.

I don't remember, Nate Ramsey, with any energy drink sponsor.

I have a buddy who works down the road at the Quicky Lube. I went over to his house this weekend in hopes that he would change my oil as a favor. He said "I do this shit all day and you want me to do it on my day off too?"

So, yeah, I understand.

Don't be too sure
Red Bull is at Honda and depends on how their deal is written

The redbull boat has sailed. Honda has another year left on their deal and there wont be anyother team or rider wearing their stuff.

Redbull had nothing to do with him leaving Kawi, Ryan Villopoto did.

That's gay IF they let Bubba go for RV. Kind of like the same ass crack way Honda screwed Jeremy AND Ricky over.

Huh, I was not implying you didn't. I meant if THAT was the reason because I was guessing. I didn't know if you were saying Kawasaki let him go OR he was leaving on his own because Kawi was bringing him in. That's why I said IF. Sorry you took it the wrong way.
