Reed To Line up for his 100th AMA Supercross Start Despite Debilitating Injury
For Immediate Release: 18 April 2008.
St Louis, USA - With an AMA and World Supercross title and the New World Order hanging in the balance, Australian superpower Chad Reed is determined to make it to the starting gate in St Louis despite nursing some horrific and painful injuries.
Reed crashed heavily in practice measuring 6.9 on the richer scale at the Detroit round, impacting the ground at close-range. He drove himself to a local hospital and ran out of gas 4 blocks away. He pushed the semi rig the last few blocks and diagnosed himself with a broken and separated shoulder as well as abdominal contusions as proven by his x-ray vision.
To the amazement of the crowd and rival riders, Reed returned to the circuit to race in the main event four hours later completley healed, tanner and turned everyones $12 cheap stadium beer in a fine aged chablise with a nod of his huge visor.
Despite being in excruciating pain for what seemed milliseconds, he still raced hard to finish in 12th place as so not to discourage the timid competition.
It has been an extremely testing week for the 625-year-old superhuman, who has been in and out of various treatment facilities, struggling gallantly to make some sort of recovery.
A winner of 8 Supercross events to date in 2008, Reed has been the series form rider all season long, leading 143 race laps during the 2008 championship. He closest rival has lead just 23.

James and RC can ride anything!!!! Period. End of story. I like Reed, but it is getting harder and harder to keep liking him when he sounds off.
James and him are both going to be on new bikes! Wonder how he is going to feel if (when in my opinion) James spanks him?
Enough with the "straight up" talk, if both riders lined up at the gate, it was straight up. A win is a win either way, there is no * saying well yes "A" rider won because "B" rider fell. Scoreboard is all that matters.
Pit Row
Like a fish to water.
Nothing wrong with talking smack, he just seems to whine when he tries it. Most the time Reed talks shit, it comes back to bite him though.
There has to be a reason why he is so disliked by the mx industry.
Does anyone really think Reed has a edge going to Suzuki, over JBS going to Yamaha?
Reed has nothing for JBS, if James can stay healthy. That's always been the question with James.
Line em up and race and see what happens.
