Here are a couple from around 1974. I raced a 73 TM250 Suzuki. I loved the white fenders and green number plates. Thought I was Joel Roberts. I also raced my dad's 1958 BSA Gold Star in the open class. Actually got a couple trophies with that bike against the modern day bikes. Those days were so fun. I remember it cost me $3.50 to enter and if I took first I made $25, second was $15 and third was $10. gas was 49 cents a gallon. What a great time.

1980 not quite steel tank old but old. This is at Sleepy Hollow MX in District 6
They still know how to race 2 strokes there too. I loved those scott boots and Griffs gear lasted forever.

Yes, some nice pics. Here some more classics for you. The first one is the late Jim West and I. We were teammates on the Husqvarna Team in the early 70s. Then 44 is me on a Factory Husky. Then there is two of my Moto Heroes from when I was just getting stated.

Cool pic. The early 70's was such a great time to be involved in MX. Just a completely different scene than today.

HaHa, when I hear the name "Gary Semics" I still think "Husky rider". Nice to see you posting one here.

Your first pic was just as I was getting my taste of moto.......and remember reading the tragedy of West at Saddleback, was it? The second one is how I remember you. Those Hallman boots red or blue? :-) very cool-you and Kent back in the day.

Very Cool Old School, Husky had the best looking tanks and more important the best bikes at that time, great memories. Wish I had kept some of those bad boys. Oh well at least I rode Husky when they were the best, too bad I wasn't.
