I know he is doing just fine without the factory support but as the season moves on and gets closer to the championship finish will Suzuki step up and start to back Davi. For Suzuki they would be crazy not to give Davi what ever parts and support he needs if James and RCH are totally out of the title fight.
Why try to change what's working? I mean you can always test and you don't want to get complacent but, that team has i going on.
The argument about Factory Bikes Vs. Non Factory Bikes on this site makes me laugh. He looks to have a great team with his bike sorted.
The biggest advantage a "factory guy" has is support in the way of mechanics, suspension techs, motor guys. Aftermarket parts are phenomenal, as long as you have the support to test and get them working for you. Davi's team has that.
Look at Short, his results have not suffered since getting off the "Factory Bike"

What is funny, is that when this team was Suzuki's 250 team in 2011 and receiving the factory goodies, they had sub-par results. From what I've seen and researched, Rockstar is paying for everything. They have their own track at Milestone and the engines and suspension are all in-house. They choose to ride Suzuki's. Whatever it is, it is working very well right now.
I see what you did there also. Apparently $$$ is true unobtanium
It is clear to see the riders who have not quite got their set up spot on just yet.
given the factory rider out of the points chase.

The team are doing just fine - and it is god damn refreshing to see it, just like with 800 and MC in last years outdoors.
Same with Shorty - he is doing no worse.
Remember CP377 - preferred less factory equipment.
Not every rider performs better with the all singing all dancing bells n whistles.
However, he might as well test the factory bike/parts with an open mind if the opportunity presents itself. Who is to say they wouldn't be better? Chad Reed was riding really well on his Pro Circuit bike in 2011, but still opted to switch to the Factory Honda after being given the chance to test it.
Suzuki Japan will already have there budget allocated to Yoshimura Suzuki so where is the money coming from..........................................?
Yoshimura Suzuki are not going to spend money on another private team. Why would they.......
Rockstar Suzuki are effectivelly their competitor for budget in future years
If I recall correctly from 2011 it wasn't the obvious stuff like motor and suspension that Reed really wanted from Honda, it was other bits and pieces like the special tranny, hydraulic clutch etc. Maybe Davi doesn't need those, but I bet if offered they would at least test them and use them if all went well.
maybe they don't want shit to do with being "supported" and are happy to take credit for race wins while choosing the yellow bike as their platform, if I remember right they did an interview in 11 saying they chose yellow because it was very easy to make fast as was a great package out the box, perhaps somebody has a more specific memory but i am pretty sure it was on Vital home page as well.
if i was the owner i would be keeping my well earned freedom status of being an individual team that has worked damn hard to pick a good team who are now getting the results they deserve - it's not like they are struggling for $$$$
Both riders are doing well without factory support and their bikes are brand-recognizable.
Honda and Suzuki are getting a 'bang' without spending any 'bucks.'
Post a reply to: So when does Suzuki start to throw some factory parts Milsaps way.
