Not trying to nit pick, but during some of most exciting racing that we've seen in a while, do we really need a complete video recap of all the trouble RD5 has faced throughout the night?

We already sit through the start replay, usually cutting away from a tight battle to show it. Now, we need to watch Dungey's trials and tribulations, that we have already seen multiple times during the heat and LCQ?

At least give us a split screen!

Otherwise, good coverage and great racing. Just my two cents.

I agree, especially the start replays... Split screen is a good idea. But overall I enjoyed the telecast also.

There will never be a time when everybody is happy.

I for one, completely appreciated the replays as I was not able to watch the heat race or LCQ.

Somoene get on the phone with SPEED quick. Tell them Regis is OK with some new commercial breaks in the middle of the main events.

I alreaday called SPEED and told them I was ok with the replays. It's all good. Here is the number to voice your opinion, its a direct line - (347)-689-1270. They are super cool and enjoy any input you have.

never said anything about commercial breaks.

I was ok with earlier RACE ACTION replays to help me understand what they were talking about when referencing Dungey's problems. Not everyone can sit down for 3 hours in front of a TV on a Saturday night.

Feel free to DVR it so that those of us who have already sat through it can enjoy the live track action.

Somehow, I managed to carve out three hours to watch the race, as did most people who watched.

So, what your saying is, it would be useless to have split screen coverage so that we could continue watching a live race during the recaps that help bring the "really important busy people" that couldn't watch the entire show up to speed..

Ok.

Nope, wasn't what I was saying. I never used the words "useless" or "split screens".

I just said the replay really didn't bother me and in this instance was appreciated. Thus, my statement "There will never be a time when everybody is happy". I apologize for appreciating the replay since it messed up your telecast.

I Never said your ideas were stupid, not warranted or not good. Read what I wrote.

They could split screen it.

I always find it odd that whenever they go to another shot, like when TC41 and RV2 we battling mid-pack with someone, you hear the crowd go "OOOOOH" or cheer and you're thinking you're missing something back up front with the DM18/JS7 battle.

Yeah, more use of split screens

But I think you're a core audience and you will watch whether it's good coverage or bad coverage. The casual watcher may not carve out 3-4 hours to watch the whole show. I think they are trying to cater to that segment. I was pretty happy with the coverage. It wasn't too long ago that most races were on TV with one heat race, recap of heat 2, some fluff and then the main.
I wonder if the live coverage is limited by the ability to sell advertising time for 3 hours of show?

It's not so much about complaining about live coverage. The fact is, we see more passes for the lead, or big mistakes by a front runner in replay than we do live. Everyone here has complained about it some time. They continue to do it. I can even understand a little since it is a live event, but we even suffer through the same stuff on the Sunday replays. They cut away to a riveting shot of Bubba or RV laboring through the pack and miss a huge moment at the front.

I am extremely thankful for live racing, but let's stick with the action up front and when they thin out later in the race, which usually happens, we can replay stuff from the first ten laps. I'd much rather get a replay of the big AHHHH!!!! when the guy in seventh wads going through the whoops than see that live and get a replay for a takeout pass for the lead.

Repetitive commercials are my only gripe, and at the races, they are worst at 130db.

Do I love Fro, no. Does Carmichael have some opinions that cross the line a bit, yes. Hey if KTM want to race with an air shock, um, blank you.

BUT, I am freaking ecstatic about the live racing. At 52, I never thought I would live to see it for multiple Saturday nights in a row, I don't even watch hockey anymore! I remember watching ABC Wide World of Sports just to maybe get a race to watch a couple of times a year. And believe it or not, Superbikers was pretty cool racing...Eddie Lawson and Magoo on the same track, bonus!

It's a beautiful thing.

Yes to split screens. They cut away from a couple good battles to show replays last nite.

Very happy to have the races on live, split screen during replays would be cool though.

Simple solution. Replays of the heat/lcq/main immediately after they end. After the whole show is over, show highlights of the night. Never interrupt live coverage. I understand showing the leader when he crosses the finish line, but don't cut away from a battle like Savatgy and Anderson were having to show Tomac cross the finish line. A split screen will be fine.

All that being said, it is live and I'm sure they're doing the best they can. It is extremely frustrating to see the crowd roar during a replay though. If they're showing another battle, that's okay. A replay though is unacceptable. Really when it's live I give them a pass, but when it's on CBS the next day and something like that happens, I get pissed.

^^ this.. Can't complain too much about live coverage, but a split screen would be awesome, especially when they feel the need to show replays of passes during lcq's
