If I could go 10 on a project like this, which this bike would be my first choice, I would probably land like 8 on a scale because of whatever. This however landed on 11.

Honestly, for me there's no other bike on the planet right now that is more appealing than this bad sucker.

JOB WELL DONE!!!Woohoo

Now, let's force KROC or BamBam to rip this beast on a SX track!Cool

Looks great.

Those preload adjusters are sweet.

Keep us up to date with how it performs for you or future changes.

Really nice, Newmann. I know you want to give it a factory team look but I say just throw on some clean backgrounds/numbers and be done with it. I like the stock look, particularly on KTM's.

I just bought a slightly used '13 250SX and I'll be going thru it pretty thoroughly here shortly. The stroker motor from my '08 will be going in it w/ just the addition of the '13 clutch and side cover, trick carb, orange frame, and of course suspension.

I was planning on using MX Tech but the quotes I'm getting are about $1500 without any slippery coatings. Is this stuff worth it? That's literally 2x what many other big name shops are charging.

What all are you having done? Mine were all new and did not need new seals. They ended up charging $600.00 for the coatings. Factory connection quoted me $1000.00 for the same coating. I also added the X-Trig preload adjuster for $150.00. That's $750.00 for stuf you aren't having done. Being a lightweight small bore bike I wanted to eliminate as much friction in the suspension as possible. A heavier and more powerful bike may not be affected as much so that is something to consider. They left the stock shock spring on and swapped out the fork springs. Being a light weight and small bore bike, they sold me on the idea of one huck valve setup. Might have suggested two for the bigger bike of yours. All in all, I didn't spend much more than you quoted and that was with freight.

have you talked to Jeremy or just talking to other customers? He's done 2 or 3 bikes for me in the past and always been reasonable and a straight shooter.

I spoke to Matt up there at MX Tech and here what I was told (I'm a 182# b4 gear Vet Int):

$750 for 3 Huck valves, 2 up front, 1 in the rear
$500 for front and rear revalve
$130ish for front fork springs
$xxxx Seals, X ring, etc
$100ish for shipping to and fro
$xxx For the coatings, Maybe $600 I didn't ask but I want them.

Now I've used MX Tech before and their work is great, and I've tried several. But this revalve could approach $2K and that's not even getting a Ti rear spring.

I was skeptical about how it would turn out with all the orange you were planning. And Im super critical of what people can do to their bikes... but damn it came out really nice. Really really nice. Well done newman.

Let me know when you are ready to sell it ahahaha.

Hopefully you'll still like it Jabroni...and Jake. I wanted a team replica of sorts but I am not too much of a "stickered up" kind of guy. I still have all the stock plastics so I can switch back at any point. LOL

I did get my Scalvini and Shiner beer logos in place of a few 4 stroke items that normally grace the rear fenders!Smile
