What's funny is I know Matthes or GuyB has to know why there is no LB/MC team anymore. I know, and I am a nobody... And NOBODY has even mentioned it...

First off Moto XXX has many memorable distinctions with my favorite one being when Brian Deegan ghosted his bike at the Coliseum. I saw it in person and was blown away when he did it. The fans stepped up and paid the 1K fine to make it even cooler.. Has their ever been a team with more supportive fans than Moto XXX?

On the Mikexxx comment: You would think the largest MC shop in California could pay their bills. Dave Damron is a businessman first and foremost. The guy's LB MC team won multiple SX titles ....it was great he stepped up and helped LB and MC out last year but it comes down to money spent on the team versus money coming back.

GuyB referenced MC's spending cap and it would surprise me if Dave Damron didn't also have a set not to be exceeded budget. My hat is off to Dave Damron for stepping up last year end of story.

Would love to see some of the early 97-2001ish graphics be made up for today's bikes.

I will say this, I met the crew right when I turned 18 as a Team Green "B" rider. In my years as a pro, through my friendship with them, I was able to do more and be more.

The memories I have with Smelly, Jordan and Kurt will last a lifetime. More importantly the friendship will as well. 3 Solid individuals that were true fans and in the roughest times kept it fun.

Thanks Jordan.

P.S. - remember the premiere in Mammoth when Tyler King, Chris Wheeler and I hid in the bathroom for like 3 hours to see the movie and watch you guys play?? We had people bringing us food and drinks to keep us going! It was a 21 and up show and we were 18.

How come MotoXXX didn't grow with FMX? In theory you'd think MotoXXX should be stronger now than it was back then. Ahead of the times and all that... ! Guessing piracy had a lot to do with it?

I'd be curious to hear why. Like I said, Motoxxx could/should be a relevant brand in this day and age.

Theres two sides to every story, I got one, maybe yours would be different. For sure though it was a cool team.

Its a trip to me when these teams end up folding like L&MC. Especially in the middle of a season. It just makes me think how badass MOTO XXX was. We pulled it off for a long time and had endless amounts of badass riders race for our team not to mention all the mechanics whom we employeed that have went on to have lots more success in the industry. Not bad for two punk rock drummers and a snowboard film maker. Folding was never an option, we always pulled it off no matter what and it was for sure difficult in the beginning. We spent a lot of money out of our own pockets, plus everything that MOTO XXX was bringing in...never had anyone wealthy involved backing us with millions. So ya, MOTO XXX...was the sickest punk rock MX team to ever hit the pits!!!
I never knew that Smelly was apart of Moto XXX!?! NOFX was the first punk band I was introduced to, still my favorite band to this day. I was always a fan of you guys when I was a grom, but dang thats awesome! I remember seeing Larry Ward at red bud ripping on a 250f before everyone was on 250f's! Definitely one heck of a legacy you guys left behind. That would've been the ideal group of people I would like to be around, filming with for sure! Man the stuff you learn on Vital MX threads
This.

It happened to be the first pro-mx win for a four-stroke in the tiddler class, as well. (or "cheater bike" as they were often called then)

Regis...awesome memories. I know you'll never forget your 18th B'day party. I remember Parts Unlimited made us edit out a few things in order for them to pick up/distribute our video. Im sure you recall what was edited out..haha. Thanks for writing in here..i know we touched a lot of different riders with everything we did through MOTO XXX and your right, we always did what it took to keep our program afloat. Our first premier for MOTO XXX 1 in Mammoth was so awesome. You've got a great memory on the sneak in. There was a lot of under 21's in there. Jim Holley announcing the wet t shirt contest which turned into the no t shirt contest was awesome and im sure all you 18 yr olds where loving it....hahahaha. Good times back in the day for sure!!!

I think Matthes stated in one of his podcasts that you guys stiffed his paychecks..but apparently its pretty common in this industry to do that

If that is true, and it possibly is...it all starts at the top. It of course wouldnt have been about us not wanting to pay anyone, it would have been a matter of not being able to pay. Like i said, we for sure went through sponsor issues with getting paid and im talking about getting paid at all let along getting paid on time. But no matter what, we kept on ticking...for a long time! We of course had a lot of great sponsors too.

I have lots of memories working with Jordan, Kurt and Allan crew at MotoXXX as Timmy Ferry and Kyle Lewis mechanic .. Working for them 2 years i must say it was the best times of my 10 year career as a professional mechanic..

Shortly after leaving MotoXXX Im still working in the industry i started my company Pro Factory Hoses and hopefully one day be a team sponsor.. Thanks Jordan, Kurt and Allan..

Glad you have a lot of good memories working for our team. It was pretty sick to have Tim Ferry ride for MOTO XXX. We honestly gave him the opportunity to kick start his career again. It was after a successful year with our team that he once again got signed by factory Kawi. So many riders came through our program. One day, i want to put together a list of all the riders, including the freestyle guys too, that rode for MOTO XXX. Hope you are having success with your company PFH!

BalttlezFMX...i've got one of those semi trucks too. Bought it at a truck stop while i was on tour somewhere. It was cool to have Hooters but, it was never taken advantage of. We should of had stripper poles in the pits with chicks going nuts. The last few years of MOTO XXX where so boring to me. I much prefer the old school days where we got in trouble every weekend at the races! Fans LOVED us, the industry..not so much...hahaha

Glad to hear you're a fan of NOFX, STRUNG OUT, and MOTO XXX...LW10 was for sure the first to win a national on a 250F. Pretty sweet claim to have.
