Thompson in January/February is no joke cold. The only saving grace is it usually isn't very windy. What were you testing up there?

It has only been above freezing 3 days this entire month here in Utah. Some sub-zero nights (usually in the single digits) and temps usually in the teens-low 20's for highs during the day. Not mention this terrible inversion that has been here for two weeks. I live about two miles (as the crow flies) from the mountains...and I can't even see them. So crappy!

I'm heading to Mesquite Nevada for a race this weekend...its supposed to be in the mid-60's clear and sunny. And I'll take that...and even run ventilated gear for good measure.

Sure, I've been to that airstrip! In fact i was out at the airstrip when it was -41F....doing some snowmachine testing..

WOW! this post got strange, guess the cold will do that to you. Amazing temps posted from all over the globe. Lately here in Iowa we have been getting it all. Sat was 50+ and by Monday night it had dropped to -10 with wind chills around -30. By the end of the week we were back into the mid to upper 30's. Sunny for a while, now we to are going to get the ice storm. .2-.5 of inch of ice for mid day Sunday, after we top out out in the upper 40's. I think the toughest thing for me this year has been all the wild swings. Thought I would be used to it after all the years of trucking, but no. Would rather it just stayed warm, or stayed cold and get it over with.
