I dont think it would be a big deal if Twitch didn't hate Deegan as much as he does.

That being said, I don't think its that big of a deal honestly. Twitch was upset but to post what he did just to prove a point will only make Deegan laugh.

So who really wins by all of it?

And Davey said it was him, wonder if Twitch will have "beef" with Davey now.

Its funny that people are saying sponsors should be upset over him speaking his mind. Do you think they would care about this more then him smoking weed?

I would like to add that I probably have a completely different view of the fmx situation. I admittedly did not grow up around MX racing. I've been a fan since I was young, and had bikes when I was younger, but I never raced. I was more into riding BMX as that was a much easier thing for me to do by myself. I've always been a fan of bmx freestyle, especially dirt jumping. To me, fmx is bmx dirt jumping bumped up to a crazy level. I enjoy watching what they do. I may not be a fan of every riders personality, but that is true of racers too.

Not every freestyle guy acts like a thug. Look at guys like TP and Robbie Maddison. It's easy to let the Mulisha guys and those like them taint your view of the sport as a whole. If you get over your distorted view you may realize it.
Travis is a born motocross racer who schooled the slackers in FMX. History is a bitch, you might want to watch 199 lives for you low end learners.

Deegan and Steinberg should have a "grudge" fight. They might make money on PPV. Thats whats is all about bro's right? They could use pillows so it won't hurt them.

Right, and most of the FMX guys started out racing too. It doesn't change anything. Like another guy said earlier in the thread, some of you guys are so much like skier snobs were/still are to snowboarders it's not even funny.

The entire FMX thing kind of makes me embarrassed to ride dirt bikes...the entire image and attitude the FMX dudes have is just poser-ish, tired, old, and pathetic. And it sucks that all dirt bike riders get lumped into that stereotype...Which is why I was always a TP fan, as he busted that stereotype left and right-total "howdy dudey", clean cut dude that was the baddest of them all...Without TP FMX has absolutely zero appeal to me (The only X games event I watched last summer was the endure cross...and I'm probably not the only one).
Titan.....you said it about as perfect as you could.

That freestyle stuff is dumb in my eyes.....but I know the general public and a lot of kids dig it.....which is cool I guess. I can't argue that some of the stuff they do on those bikes , don't take a lot of talent....because they extremely talented. Just not my cup of tea.

BTW.....I think Twitch acted like a complete douche' with that response to RacerX. Christ.....one small mistake that the dude goes banana's.

I didn't want to say it, but I'm willing to bet there are more FMX guys out there making a better living than the majority of the top pro's that race SX and MX. Hell, the entire cast of Nuclear Cowboyz is probably better paid than 75% of the guys that line up for a SX main.
don't bet on it

It was me, not Matthes or Ray Finkle. I thought it was funny, given our last misunderstanding over judging Best Whip at the X Games, and I had no idea how bad the blood was there. In hindsight, would never do that...

I am going to stick to making Insta-jokes with people and situations I know a little better, or people less sensitive, like gun-owners, or environmentalists, or the Amish....

ya, what these fmx "bros" represent is so stupid! It hurts racings squeaky clean "we are the best" image! Just look at this evidence!! /end sarcasm (see vids below)

I love racing (and riding and jumping) little sick of the ignorant/narrow minded people who think they are somehow better than a pro freestyle rider because they got 8th in a 40+ C race one time.

I wasn't condemning DC, I was condemning stenberg, but you're right, I'm sure the people paying his bills won't give a shit because he apparently makes being an asshole seem cool.

Haha, those of us from the North East are usually better at reading, you should try and take another stab at it. Check the Hansen thread from Anaheim 1. The thread where I said he was a train wreck in the LCQ and looked like a cunt taking out another guy near last place.
Try again though with another ignorant post, you're bound to guess correctly at some point on who is a "bro" or "ball boy".

O look, you edited your post...at least you know how to do that. Right on

Its easier than that...I'm a racer and I love racing but was just trying to let some people know there isn't an us vs them thing going on. Lots of dudes race and do freestyle.
It's usually the guys with some clapped out 450 (that doesn't get out of 3rd gear and the filter gets cleaned every 10 rides) that call out freestyle riders or back of the pack racers for being "slackers" or not "putting in the work"...it's quite funny. Good evening to all!

Ok ok time the fuck out. Twitch and Hanny burn down the forest and ride hills and sick free riding spots, and get paid a lot of money now. Deal with it.

I don't get why some of you are so snobby. I grew up spending my time riding in the hills jumping and hill climbing with friends. I also rode tracks a shit ton. I also owned a ramp for a while. Sure fmx isn't what it was in the beginning, but Steel Roots and Fly will always be special to a lot of us. I still enjoy riding out in the hills and or dunes with friends far more than burning laps. People take riding tracks so seriously it sucks the fun out of it for them. I see plenty of guys at local tracks who basically have a race day rig set up and look miserable because they aren't happy with how they are riding, or because the track sucks that day. Those guys are in their late 30's and are somehow pissed off at life while riding. That always makes me shake my head. Like they think being the third fastest guy on the track that day is the end all be all. I've never had a bad day in the hills after a nice rain. But hey, maybe that's just me. If you ride a bike you're cool with me. I've done it all and I'd suggest not knocking it if you haven't tried it. There is a reason you see pros out n the hills throwing whips for the cameras. Cause that's about the most fun you can have on a bike.

FMX and MX are 2 different things. its apples to oranges. I can understand Twitch being pissed. How he handled it may have been the wrong way. He did get MM tattoos removed from his body that he expected when he got them to be 4 Life. It would be like Racer X saying Hanny riding for PulpMX or Matthes being the new media guy for RCH. Just something Davey should have known better. I mean this is a small industry. Either way its water under the bridge. But for people to say they wish FMX would go away NEWS FLASH its NOT! I have a moto background since I was a little kid(dad and uncle both pros) but I have LOTS of friends who make a living off doing FMX shows. Stop being ignorant.

I next to never hear Matthes talk about freestyle and like most of the guys have mentioned, who cares. Twitch is relevant for about 48 hours during the year at that X Games bs. Completely irrelevant to MX. Im sure RacerX will survive without the legion of Twitch followers.
