Many people are dicks on the field, court, track, etc etc, but are nice, good people off. Maybe you should take the time to meet these people before you shit on them.

I made my judgment based on what I know about him, his track antics and off the track irresponsible behavior. What do you know about him that can refute the obvious?
Besides the fact of riders he's helped, like giving Tedesco his Suzuki, people he's helped off the track etc, etc nothing.

That was a total joe move, hansen is a douche. He couldn't even collect his shit to qualify the first time and then he takes out the slowest guy in the room for no reason.

I was mistaken about ARay being a lapper. I believe Hansen was racing with Filthy for 2 laps after he crashed over the wall jump. Hanny and Filthy came up on ARay near the end of the last lap and I think Hanny went fast into the 180 and cut low to protect the inside. ARay was coming around the outside to jump the finish line double and Hanny Tboned him. This is what I can come up with after seeing it in person and looking at the lap sheet from AMA

So are you saying that doing good deeds might make it okay to pull douchebag moves and well..just be a douche?

If so.. you might look up John Wayne Gacy and ask yourself if you feel the same about him... I mean.. he did good deeds too.

Actually, comparing them is a bit unfair to JLaw. I thought JLaw seemed like a pretty down to earth guy. Hanny...not so much.
Good point. I stand corrected.
I was giving him too much credit. Jlaw wasn't that much of an ass!

He was a train wreck in that LCQ. I was there live as well and though I felt bad for Nicoletti, it is the lcq and taking people out in a turn come with the territory when racing for a transfer. Secondly, he rode across the Chiz on that jump face and probably went off the track and crashed because he was concentrating on cutting Chiz off rather than just going fast. Lastly, that last corner takeout was a super bitch move. Absolutely no reason to do that and then after the flag it looked like Nicoletti was giving him an earful. In short, he didn't make the main and looked like a cunt in the process.

I like watching his smooth style as much as the next guy but after being a bitch I'm glad he didn't make the main.

Yeah, etc, etc, etc! Good on him for those great actions! You obviously are acting like you know the guy but have no idea, I thought so!

Why is anyone suprized at Hanny's cheap shots? Don't you remember just one short year ago he was knocking guys over like bowling pins every single round? The universe doesn't owe him anything. But a whole lotta fellow riders do. And after the LcQ take out the other rider rolled up next to him and they had a little "chat".

But wait? Doesn't the sport need riders like him?

I'm saying it's fine to critique him for what's done on the track, and call his moves etc whatever you'd like, but going after someone off the track when you have never met him seems wrong in my opinion.

By the way, a takeout on a track is equivalent to serial murder?

I actually grew up with him and had plent of meals with Becky, Donnie and the family. I still keep in touch.

Hansen didn't do those things for PR or a pat on the back so I don't find it right to say something when he hasn't.

You seem like a very bitter person.

When did he give IT a Suzuki by the way? I saw Ivan post a thank you to Sunny Garcia for letting him borrow his Suzuki which is the same one Hansen borrowed in the past I think as well. So thanks to Sunny Garcia I guess??

I saw the random take out perfectly. I was facing the finish line landing and saw the whole thing. It was pointless and a move that only a low life dick would pull. That being said all this bitching on here won't change anything. I guarantee the next time you guys see him out at Pala or milestone none of you would have the balls to say anything to his face. Keep on keyboard warriors!

By the way has any official addressed this issue yet? What does the incident warrant, a fine or a suspension? Better yet how about an apology.

I don't like the image of 60 off the track but I totally love his riding on the track. Reminds me of the 90's when everyone rode like that. Spiced shit up and made for rivalries. I miss that in todays racing. This shit is not that serious that people should freak out. It's only dirt bike racing for christs sake.

This obviously will stay on the keyboards but you can't tell me that if that punk takes you out under those circumstances, you won't do anything! It's not about acting rough and tough over a keyboard but I can certainly tell you without a doubt in my mind that if it was me the guy he took out under the same circumstances, things would've got heated very quick. But then again, maybe its because I'm old and cranky as hell all the time! lol

I learned in this thread that a take out move is as bad as murder...

Why bother confronting him at a local track? I wouldn't bother personally. The two guys he took out can talk to him all they want (in that case I prob. would) and one of them already chatted with him exiting the track.

You must have been sitting near me or same direction anyway, were you near section 222?

Please man, stop trying to be naïve! It's not the take out, its the circumstances! His first pass was perfectly fine because he was fighting for a qualifying position. His cross jump on KC was an idiotic move and he paid. The take out on the last place in an LCQ....well that's just something apparently you and him can understand!

I was referring to all the people that can talk smack on here at Hanny or any rider at that and call him this and that but are too scared to do it in real life since they don't have the comfort of their computer screens to hide behind. Not a big deal. I just think it's funny. I'm sure Ray and Nicoletti will settle it and get theirs with Hansen, well at least I hope they do.

I was sitting in section 425. I was literally right above you.

Yes I did with my son back in Anaheim 2'11. Early afternoon in the pits he was walking with a bunch of fellow homies. My son walked up and said hi to him. He turned to my son and said leave me alone little man....I wanted to kick him in the front of his ass!

I can think of hundreds of better places to take my kid's than a SX race. Strip joints being one that comes to mind. What are you thinking? 90% of these guys are home schooled. They ride a dirt bike for income. Why would you expect them to be role models for your children? Look at the pussy Feld parades around at the event. Smoke, bombs, lasers, lights, etc. SX is a freak show not motocross. Josh Hansen types do not race Motocross Sir. Maybe take them to a Pro Nat and leave sx for the bro's and ho's.

Dungey, Windham, Weimer, and Metcalfe all chatted it up with my son without a problem! We haven't been to a SX since. We've been to the last two Washougal races and I will never go see another SX live again. Way more bang for your buck. Especially since my oldest son racing the amatuer days before the National adds to an awesome long weekend. Still think SX is cool and great on TV, but the Nationals are friggin fantastic 4 day events.

I said he would not make the main in another thread. 2 or 3 more races of not making the main and he will be another J law...he needs to be punted to row F! He has always been a dirty rider since he started racing. Worse than Friese!

I have met him plenty of times on the track and off. Milestone talking about the hooker and her dog, Glen Helen, Newport Beach, even had some beers with him at Hard Rock at MEC cup this last year...each time he was very cool and never had an attitude problem or anything that made me think he was a dooshbag at all. Some people get crazy in sports, I have lost my cool many times playing higher level sports (college stuff) so I can't really judge him. I also took his dads riding school and he was a very cool dude too. Anyway, yes- taking out someone last lap of LCQ, way out of qualification is sketchy but I don't think he's an ass hat of a person for that. It's a freaking war zone out there sometimes is my "excuse" for this..

I wonder how many people here who haven't seen the takeout on the last lap have already made up their mind about it.
