I don't like the 50+ styles and 200+ colors combos offered in the 2013 lines from these brands
Fox
Shift
Thor
MSR
ANSR
Alias
Moose
JT
Fly
TLD
One
O'Neal
Scott
Axo
Metal Mulisha line
Rockstar line
DC
Volcom line

The not so new company with a not so unique design and a not so unique logo branded to a specific person really is appealing to me.... !?

Is he gonna be wearing TLD helmets this year? I can't really see he could make big money wearing this gear this year. I see a lot of gear being sold a year later at 50% of the price and everyone still makes a profit... and they spend a real fortune on sponsored athletes and ads... That's it. I'm starting a new gear company.

Most likely he's still with Bell Helmets.

I'm not sold on either the "seVen" or the "7" logo, but I think the gear looks good. I like the look of the designs and colours.

Looks good, but...it's annoying that every time someone comes up with new gear they claim how different and technical the new gear is when in reality it's just the same with different color ways. It's really hard to come up with anything new that would actually make difference, especially if you have to worry how much it will cost to the consumer.

My brother is designer for motocross brand and I have helped him since the day one with designs and testing. One thing that we have learned is that testing is most important thing if you want to make your gear better and sometimes is just matter of changing one seam just an inch. I'm not sure how much testing different brands do, for example one major brand had problem for years that their riders had pants falling off and/or jersey not staying in pants (of course it depends also on rider and how he likes to wear his gear).

IMO more impressive than the gear is THE BIKE!! I think it looks amazing and i fully dig the OG "Rising Sun" logo on the shrouds. That goes way deep into the roots of Suz.

AH- there you go. Musta been too late at night for me to realize the aligned numbers. What was I thinking?

If James wins Saturday, that will be my lottery numbers for Monday- 8-7-6. Lucky combo.

I don't know who gets the bigger "D'oh". Stewart and Troy Lee for knocking off the Shift/22 stuff, or Shift/22 for running a big 7 logo for the last year. It's a smart move on Stewarts part but the success of it lies squarely on his shoulders, the James Stewart of the past 3 or 4 years would not have helped a brand. But Jan 5th is a new year so he has a clean slate. The wisdom of Troy Lee will remain to be seen. The welded seams mentioned is interesting, it's nothing new but interesting.

The gear and colors look cool. Seven spelled out looks good but the logo 7 I don't like. It also at quick glance looks like the new Shift logo. Don't be surprised if they try to get it changed.

The Reed Shift gear/helmet combo is the best looking stuff I've ever seen IMO.

Can't wait for Saturday night!

that first pic is exactly what I thought of when I saw this....the logos look to similar from afar and especially to someone that doesn't know. I would do a redesign on the 7 and highly promote the spelled out version as I see it a little more brandable. IMO that is...

Integrating that ugly Monster logo into such a nice set of Shift gear had to have been harder than buttfucking a gerbil dry.

I understand why Seven gear works for Stewart beacuse he runs number 7. But why would anyone else run seven gear? It would be confusing to have your actual number on the jesrey and then also have number 7 all over it as well. And what is wrong with a signature series under an existing brand? IMO 7 signature series makes more sense than a new 7 brand.

The Seven needs to stay just spelled out. If it's not signature gear and its a new company, they should have come up with something totally different.
