Fluorescent orange KTM plastics?

Edited Date/Time 1/5/2013 8:16am
Does anyone make fluorescent orange plastics for KTM? I want to build one with a fluorescent orange frame and plastics. It would be sick if KTM made their factory bikes fluorescent orange and offered it as a special option.

That would be super cool, I wish companies offered more color options for plastic. Also It would be rad if you could get custom graphics imbedded into plastic, like KTM does with there stock graphics.

This bike in fluorescent orange would be the sickest looking race bike on the track by far...I want to build one. Attn KTM, please offer fluorescent orange as it will be very popular, your current orange is just too blah..... Stamp it.

I don't know if there orange is as blah as the blue on the new red bull bikes. I love blue on the KTM's but the red bull blue is so dull and boring

Yes I agree, they might as well colored it black instead of a dark navy....the factories need to take a page out of moto GP and get some fluorescent colors on those race bikes. PC did it in the late 90's and early 2000's with RC, Brown, and Sorby but I believe it was just the frame and not the plastics.

I would call Langston Motorsports. I think they may be able to get you close, they ran that color on their bikes last year.

Nice! yeah Fluorescent orange and red does not jive with our computer displays. All you need is the plastics now.

They would appear orange even in a black and white photo.

Had the frame on my 13 250SX done in flo/orange last week & it is BRIGHT! perhaps too bright. I'm going with all white plastic.I bought new wheels for it too & a new Scalvini coned pipe.

Digger, that's problem with doing the frame orange. The plastic color is not really a nice bright orange, which you've gotten around by going white. But, then the anodize stuff looks like crap compared to the painted orange of the frame. Ideally, in your case anyway, I'd get rid of any orange ano too. Sucks because you just bought those super trick wheels......

I agree with Hellion Digger....you've solved half the problem by going with white plastic but the orange ano won't look so hot with the Flo orange frame. Or maybe it will. Show us a pic when it's put together...

Anyway, we need someone to make the damn flo orange plastics already.

I personally think the orange will work just fine but I won't know til Ron gets it all together sometime next wk. The graphics came out unbelievable so I'm definitely pumped about that.

Actually, my wheels would look killer on your bike. Take your stock wheels apart and have me paint the hubs, that will be the ticket......

UFO can make the fluorescent orange, but they have to be made in 100 set runs. We made it in the 80's for the Kawasaki's
and we could do it again if there was enough interest. Email me at dave@ufoplasticusa.com and if we get enough requests we will make it!

No shit! That's a perfect match. Nice work. Now I just need your wheels/hubs and digger's frame with flo orange plastics and stick a fork in me...

we actually explored the fluo orange option for this year, the problem was that the Neon color plastics failed all the standard UVA tests we tried in a time frame which was unacceptable and they all ended up a salmon pink color. We did manage to get one neon orange bike for this year though, but its painted. The color in the photos does no justice really to how bright this thing is, which is another problem with using Neon, in that its almost impossible to photograph Smile

TUF racing used to sell floresent plastic for KX's back in the late 80s & early 90s -- and it came in a variety of colors. Used to see blue & orange KX's at the track. I stil have a flo-pink front and rear fender for a 91 KX125/250 still in the bag.
