Not sure who is driving that ship, but their selection for primary sponsorship sure could use some consistency. That is the second primary sponsor to suddenly disappear from that team in 1.25 years. Hopefully whatever is going on with Chapparel will be better explained than the unexplained falling out from sx.com.

There is only 1 so called journalist in the industry that would report something and he's been let go from every media outlet in the sport. Last I heard he was unemployed. The rest of them fear fallout backlash.

Real journalism is not waiting for a press release.

Truly don't get why people are "scared" to report what the facts are. Journalist or not. Facts are facts, and rumors are rumors and should be reported that way. Word on the streets is..... Or from what I am hearing so and so are out as team manager.....

What is wrong in that and why would a team be upset? Face the facts and let the situation work itself out. People knowing who or what has happened doesn't change the fact that it probably already has happened and they are trying to figure out what to do next.

I just feel bad for MC if it is true. He loves this sport, is the King of Supercross and cant get some backing? That's the real sad part.

If the other sponsers of the team knew that Chaparall was gone, do you think they would continue to write timely checks to team McBrooks? They probably wouldn't and the team would FOR SURE collapse.

I heard it was down at the graphics shop getting 1-800-COLLECT decals put on it. All jokes aside, I feel terrible for Shorty and I hope something gets worked out. Sucks to work so hard and try to focus on your riding only to wonder in the back of your mind if you're actually going to make it to all the races this year.

I'd assume those other sponsors that heard an unconfirmed rumor would just call the team and go right to the source for the information. even though some die hards on this board like to believe the "industry" thinks this board is a viable news outlet, its just not.

Any company that bases their decisions on unconfirmed rumors isn't a company worth doing business with in my opinion.

And if a team manager knows that the title sponsor of the team is gone, and ISN'T telling his other sponsors, then that's a HUGE problem (misleading other sponsors, so they continue to dump money into what very well could be a money pit...and if you don't tell them, then yes, he is misleading them). And I'm NOT saying that is what is going on here.

The way I understand it, Bud Light pulled the plug when MC quit back in 2002 or whatever it was and with that KTM deal. They were interested in personally sponsoring him, but not so much a team that had his name on it or whatever.
