What ever happened to No Fear? They effectively disappeared after the 2010 season and their website is nonexistent aside from street clothing retail.

I thought I saw an MX ad recently but I'm not sure. What happened and are they back?

If I'm not mistaken, some of the big players from No Fear are running the ship named Alias now.

All I can say is, they were one of the top brands during the years 2000 with McGrath, Pastrana, Windham, the GEICO team and they basically went to shit around 2008-2009 when they dropped all of their sponsorships and started focusing on retarded BroCal streetwear. I literally can not believe they let a brand as succesful as No Fear die off the way it did. I probably couldn't have done that if I tried.

No Fear had some AWESOME looking stuff. I ran it for a long time and was sad to see them go.

Here's probably my favorite gear from them:

Sad stuff. My favorite had to be Millsaps' all white gear. I still have their Retro Honda set from 2010.

I know they still exist (barely in the US), but I sure miss AXO. Their stuff rocked in the 90's.

How about Alloy MX after seeing Sean Hamblin rocking the stuff I had to have it. I was riding my RM 125 with the Alloy Gear, Danny Smith Replica Fly Helmet, Alpine Star Vectors. After a short stint with the four stroke BS I'm back with an RM 125 and an ear to ear grin. Never had as much fun on the 4 banger as I do when on the tiddler.

Just because a company appears to be successful, it does not mean its true. There are alot of companies that are able to uphold an image of success. That is until they are not able to keep "feeding the alligator" any longer. You will be seeing more of this until our damn economy strengthens.

And the Alessi's when they were in Am's. I remember I thought I was cool with my brand new Alloy gear until Mike showed up down in Mesquite and laid waste to us in his Alloy stuff.

Their boots were cool. Or maybe it was just Windham who made them look cool. I love this pic.

There was a No Fear store in my mall for years. I never went in, but if they only sold NF stuff then we know where they went wrong.

No Fear was originally a clothing company. The guy who came up with the gear had a licensee agreement with them, but they were separate things. Once the clothing company bought the gear company thats when it went to shit, and they had no riders wearing the gear. Once the gear was completely gone, the same guy built Alias, but its not the left overs of No Fear.

Actually Jeff was the president of No Fear MX a subsidiary of No Fear. No Fear was a clothing company started by Twin brothers Mark and Brian Simo (formally Simonitas). Mark and Brian grew up in Illinois and were riding buddies with Surwall. They actually started a company called Life's A Beach before No Fear (remember the bad boy club?) they had an investor that actually pushed them out of the deal so they started No Fear. At some point Marty Moates got involved and was also a partner.

Wasn't the MX side of NO FEAR originally run by Surwall, Mark Simo and Marty Moates?

I remember Life's a beach being in So.Cal in the late '80's early '90's.I remember seeing RJ,MC and Healey wearing plaid pants @ Perris in '90 that were No Fear.1st time I seen the brand.I liked it then.

Their 2008 line is still my favourite gear of all time. Although it was heavy as balls compared to the gear nowadays.

Wow.

Such Wizdom: gettin' into a major retail chain is lame? Be sure to tell that to Mulisha, Fox & the brands that have kept MX alive.

Seriously.

Some of the shit in this thread sounds like an occupy wall street protest.

Triplefive,
I understand how business works. No Fear was huge as an underground line of cool clothes. Once the nerdy kids took mom to JC Penny and started to wear No Fear to class, the cool kids dropped it like it was hot. THEN, it became LAME!!!
And don't tell me about FOX. also lame, but that logo is cool for chicks.

Which sounds to me like you're faulting a business for trying to make a profit...

Have you ever tried applying for a job at one of these companies? I'm sure you'd get hired in an instant with your great business theories! Shoot, you could have saved No fear! Laughing
