naive assumption.
...But it's true at least half the time. The other half gives you awkward looks if you try to see what their tattoo says.

Ahhhh..no its not. And I have a family member that owns a tattoo and peircing shop. 99.5% of the people that get tattoos arent too sharp, and whatever the crap is that they are globbing on thier body doesnt mean shit. Its some stupid idea, that they will regret. A co-worker has his daughters poem tattood on his left forearm. She was killed at 10 on a quad. It rolled and broke her neck. NOW THAT is a nice tattoo, and a very sweet poem as well.

Tattoos, and even more so, the stupid frikkin ear hole things,... will be a passing phase, because everyone will realize how gross they do look, and that is just frikkin stupid. Period. The half percent of the ones that have some real deep meaning.... will still get them, and they will still be cool.
Did a tattooed guy fuck your wife or something?

LOL Have a stunned family member with a tattoo shop.... and spend some time in there, see the average winner that gets the tattoos in society right now.... you will change your opinion.

Want to get rich? Figure out an effective, non evasive tattoo REMOVAL system. Its going to be HUGE. And, they will be willing to pay more to get the crap off themselves.

the beauty about tattoos is that unless you want to show them off, you don't have to. the people that get them on their hands, face, neck, etc are trying to show people they have tattoos.

i have a half sleeve, full side piece, and starting a sock today. if i don't want people to see them, you would never know i have them. all my work means a great deal to me and hold a special place in my heart. no dumb logos or cliche tattoos.

i don't take offense to the naive people in here slandering people with tattoos, there are some tattooed douche bags out there. there are some pierced douche bags out there. and there are even bigger douches that don't have either... but lumping everyone with a tattoo into the same category of low-lifes is pretty fucking lame.

agreed. I have a few, they are all covered up with a short sleeve shirt so I don't have to worry about job interviews. I don't wear tank tops or wife beaters to show them off. I have some letters on my left arm that I won't tell people what they mean.

You ever watch miami ink, sick tattoos and they almost always had great sentimental value. Still, there is no shortage of retarded tattoos like the monster across the forehead.

Im not lumping everyone in one group Peel.... but, like I said, till you have a family member that owns a place, and you spend some time in there... seeing what MOST people are getting right now, its pretty comical. Most of the time, its not something that means much. And, a huge amount of the tattoos are ones that anyone with a glimmer of reality and maturity will regret later in life. If its going on your body, its got to be pretty meaninful. Im guessing yours are. That is the situation I respect. You would have to see the majority to believe it right now. My nephew for instance.... afrikkinmazing. Most of it is exactly what one fellow already said. It makes the person look like a run down car wash.

But, Im more tolerant than I come accross on here, cause its not like I havent done stupid things. That is one that is pretty damn permanant though.... haha

also my buddy just got the skin-tore-open tattoo all over his left shoulder and arm, inside instead of bones and muscles, it's rods, pistons, engine stuff, looks badass. I'll post it up when he finishes his last session.

that's awesome, if done well it can look amazing. the fact that he incorporated engine parts and not just bones, makes it stand out and makes it more meaningful.

speaking of tattoo shows, ever watch Tattoo Nightmares? HAHAHA fuck me some of the tattoos that people get are retarded, and to get worked on by someone without knowing anything about them or their work goes to show the IQ of some people that get work... my ex has the worst Fairy with Butterflies you'll ever see, across her whole back. gorgeous girl with an amazing body, then she puts on a swimming suit and turns around and instantly it's like, "WOAH, what the fuck?!"

@madmax
i get your position, i really do. no hard feelings from me. i know everyone has different tastes. for the record, one thing that is really bugging me about tatoos right now is that everyone and their dog is getting a full chest piece. and it's usually wings, a heart, a skull, a key-hole, or a combination of those. and it really pains me to see some gorgeous girl get a full chest piece of something that 1000 other people have almost the same tattoo.

The problem with stereotyping is, It's usally accurate

Besides, It's wasn't an assumption, It was more of an opinion

Dude, 10 posts in and you already broke character? That's so weak. Look at Peelout. He's still holding it down, and it's been like twelve months. Of course with Peelout there's no character to break, so that's different.

p.s. I knew this kid when we were in high school, and I probably run into him once or twice a year when he's ringing me up at 7-Eleven. His name is Mikey Mayhem.

Most people probably look at his tattoo and see a huge mistake, but honestly it would be pretty easy to add the apostrophe.

Most people without tattoos, don't understand nor comprehend it... They form a opinion and it's set in stone.

People with tattoos, understand it and don't care weather or not you have Tattoos or not. (But you will still have the morans like with everything else)

I have a half sleeve on my leg, can show it off when i want or cover it up when i want/need to. I am all for tattoos, BUT.. when you go on the neck/hands/face you are somewhere else in your mind.. Probably not the smartest decisions makers either (but you have exceptions here too)

There is probably a bit of truth to that. You are right... I cant comprehend why anyone would want to do it. Mostly, because I have NEVER seen a tattoo, that improves the look of the person. Women especially. If I see an attractive women, if they smoke, or have some gaudy tattoo plastered on them... instant GROSS. I find them so attractive and perfect the way mother nature built 'em, that I prefer them that way.

A few girl friends that are really attractive have tattoos that are about as nice as they can be I guess... but it doesnt improve thier looks or appearance in my mind. There is very few tattoos that I can think of that really actually improve the looks of the person. I get it when dudes tattoo something on themselves. I was going to get my race # tattood on my shoulder blade with some clean looking flames, or a Canadian flag or something around it. Never did.... no real reason. I guess it just didnt work out.

Like I mentioned earlier. A freind/co-worker of mine has his daughters poem on his arm. That is a cool tattoo! It looks great, is very clean, and has HUGE meaning. Or, I also like my cousin's tattoos. He has his daughter and sons names on his triceps. That looks pretty good. Its a matter of taste I guess.

The sleeve on the leg... that would suit me more for myself. I would probably do that, if I had a tattoo I wanted. Thats a pretty good way to do it I think.

Bunch a stupid bastards.

Nothing like reaching your retirement age and looking in the mirror of yourself....and thinking....."man...I love this tat!"

Who am I kidding? Anyone that fucking stupid probably won't make it to their 30's.

I guess he is lucky to have found his life long career at 7 Eleven at such an early age
