Family, Friends, and Fans,
It is time for me to announce my retirement as a professional motocross racer. The opportunity to be a professional racer over the last 10 years has been an incredible journey. I would like to thank my family, friends, sponsors and fans for all of the support, encouragement and love that I have received over the years. Now that I am putting up my boots, I am excited to focus on the next chapter in my life. Therefore, it is with great pleasure that I get to announce I will be the Star Racing Yamaha’s Team manager, test rider and rider coach. I look forward to seeing you all at the races!

If you read the link you posted people say he had not retired yet. Read the last three posts in that thread.
All the best in your new chapter of moto..
having a career in MX that spans 10 years is pretty damn impressive considering how many get spit out after a year or two on the circuit.
good for him!
Why do you think KW is in the process of "Hanging it up" ??
He isn't....and has said multiple times he will finish his career in 2016 ( 20yr mark )....He's healthy and loves the sport and has no reason "health wise ) to step away now. As for Ryan....I am happy he made his decision , and wish him good luck on his new venture. But KW?.........I'm sorry but the fat lady aint singing. And won't be for another 3yrs.
