Thank you.....now we're finally getting somewhere. The difference between the midwest and CA is in Ohio we don't say stuff then not back it up but go ahead and spin things for your bro who can only talk smack.

Looks like he's also trying to convince himself that practicing at Star West and challenging someone to "race" at Glen Helen tomorrow (didn't know they held races at GH on Tuesday LOL) constitutes racing.

Major philosophical difference here......I have mass respect for ALL racers who get up early, drive to the track, practice, rider's meeting then race two motos while somebody else appears to think "I'm so fast" I don't need to race.

To each their own and while I support everyone that rides whether they race or not, Nerd's chest thumping about his speed is so much like high school it's not even funny. Sad actually especially when you consider the guy used to have insight on the sport but now in a failed attempt at relevancy has been reduced to challenging 60 plus year old racers and one 56 year old guy that hasn't been on a bike in 22 months....plus the 56 year old guy doesn't live in SoCal anymore.

Bottom line is nothing wrong with being a professional practice racer.........unless you think mixing it up with a couple of guys during the week is the same as jamming into the first corner with 25 to 30 racers at the start of a moto.
When was the last time there were 25-30 racers leaving the line in your class, Rigdon?

I'm offering you a chance to race me. Stop deflecting. If I'm not a motocrosser, it should be easy. When would YOU like to race ME?

You can name the track and how many laps.

Put up or shut up, hippy.

Staged corner shots? Oh. So you mean you can't wait for the next issue, and the MXA bike test?

Who has the photo where they're tossing in dirt from the side?

If you had raced REM like you said you were you'd know at REM multiple class race at one time so 25 to 30 racers going into the first turn is the norm.

If you go to GH to pretend race tomorrow I hope you have fun and stay safe. Maybe one day you'll race on Saturdays like the big kids do...........

Michael, I haven't raced REM since I was on 80s. But you must think I've never been there on race day.

Rigdon, what denotes a "real" race? If you and I line up, race a number of laps, then finish, what's the difference between that and what happens on Saturday? Entry fees? Please explain.

Two guys running laps during a practice session is a grudge match. It's not a race without a primary ingredient: other racers. Some riders are very quick when it's just them and the track. Throw in 10-20 other bikes and they cannot handle the psychological shift.

So Nerd wants a grudge match, and Rock wants a race. Why not both? Most tracks have practice sessions prior to racing. Or does this represent the classic case of a guy feigning a fight while saying "hold me back!" to his buddies?

I have no problem with there being 2 or 200 people, as long as he and I are racing each other. I've come off a starting gate at least 1500 times in my life. Point here is that if I'm not a motocrosser, why won't he do it?

Thank you but this is a little akin to the old "if you have to explain the punch line to someone what's the point." I thought everyone knew the difference between between practice and racing but obviously not.

Regarding what I want I realy don't want anything but it would be nice for Nerd to follow through on HIS words that he'd race the orange helmets at REM. He's been backpedaling ever since his keyboard courage ran out.

BTW for sure this is a classic case......it is also a reminder why I graduated from high school a year early.

In the beginning, the other thread, you said that Jody knows more about the pro MX series than me because he's a "racer" AND you said he would kick my ass.

I offered to race him. You turned it into me racing anybody but him at REM.

Now you're doing it again with your own assertion about me not being a motocrosser, which is really just a weak "not a real Scotsman" argument.

But I offered to race YOU.

I'll race you both if you want. On a 125. At 220 lbs. On any track you want. As many laps as you want.

Deal yet?

Oh my god you guys are acting like retarded 5 year olds arguing who can throw their milk cup further across the playground.
Seriously no one cares who is faster! Neither of you are pros trying to race for a living. You are both average punters who ride or race for fun. Just like 99% of us. Who cares if one of you just spins laps, and the other races at REM
Neither makes the sun shine out your ass.

So Rock is challenging Nerd to race, but not a race (i.e. Mano a mano)? If that assumption is correct, might be time to change that handle to "Pebble"...

For the record, I don't need to prove to myself that I'm faster than them. I'm simply operating under the rules of a dishonest man and giving him an opportunity to prove me wrong.

Nerd's backpedaling is now incorporating complete fabrication since nowhere did I write that....nowhere. He did however write that he was going to race REM but chose to post pictures instead of hitting the Octobercross.....what's up with that?

For the record I've never been interested in racing anyone (particularly Nerd) but I just couldn't stomach him dissing my friends who race 40 plus weekends a year because he thinks they're slower than him. In any event due to the fabrication factor I'm out of this thread.

You've never been interested in racing anyone, but you race anyway. That sort of proves the point you're bastardizing in this same post.

And of all people, I think you should be thankful for the "fabrication factor". But I digress.

Seriously Nerd needs to learn how to move on. It was the same shit with the whole Dan dunes saga....just move on
And rock needs to realize that Glen Helen and REM is not the centre of the motocross universe.

Who really cares. How old are you guys, you are both involved and this industry and you don't see how stupid this dick measuring contest is.
