This is the reason why we are here, regular riding day in Sweden...

Great post Doc ! I love how you guys do everything with such small vehicles. I was surprised to see those couple of American rigs in the parking lot, I know it is very expensive to have those in Europe. The scenery at the track is beautiful. I might have to do a photo essay tomorrow, I am driving from Bend,Oregon (East side of the Cascade Mnts) to Albany,Oregon (West Side of the Cascade mnts) for a practice day at Albany MX park. Summer is still hanging on in the NW right now. No rain or snow yet this fall, it's just getting chilly at night.

Damn, that's a long way to go for a practice day. Does moto shut down in the winter?

Toppen! Gillade detta inlägg också! Påminner mig om mina motocross dagar i Finland, även om det är några år sedan det.

My American upbringing has led me to believe Sweden is under snow for all but one month of the year Tongue Why exactly are there no waivers up there? That blows my mind, yet sounds so awesome at the time seeing as how people sue for sneezing in their direction here.

I imagine that a family sport that keeps kids out of trouble is quite appealing/ accepted considering Sweden's low birth rate troubles. And Sweden has sure turned out some awesome riders. I know I'm rooting for the ones who regular the American Nationals.
Ha, no we have some warm weather in between. The base for the "not sue" thing is our tax-funded health care. If you get paralyzed, EVERYTHING will be taken care of, from adjusting the apartment, car and adapting to the previous work, or get a new one despite you might not make another dime in your life. The whole system depends on the model that it might actually happen to me, so if me and a large group share the cost from day one (government take care of that with the taxes), there's enough for the unlucky person it happens to, when/if the day come, and it does. People are stupid, or unlucky.

Not everybody like this system, but the majority here digs it, and despite I have newer been a burden to society, and might financially be better of with a different system, since I feel it might not happen to me, I still dig supporting the idea because I know it could happen to me you know! Wink

Yeah, the small vehicles makes more sense since parking and gas prices are a bitch around here. But in places like Paris, smaller cars are even more common. Swedes in contrast to many other Euros still choose bigger engines and cars.

At the tracks one sees more american vehicles than average, most likely riders (special breed) usually feel more appealed to that typical American way (you have plenty of Toyota Prius as well) despite gas prices in combo with the poor MPG from a full size pic up is close to absurd.

Good work!! very nice to see that it's still possible, the 5% who likes to be called "enviromentalist" makes it almost impossible sometime for motocross, whithout reason just because they don't like it (don't know, maybe it's too much fun for them)...

The track looks very nice, is it sand or just a sandy mixture??

That looks awesome! You need some serious horsepower in that grooming vehicle going uphill? Smile

Found the link, to bad it's a bit to far (at least now) for a day trip for us living east. But if there's a will, there's a way! Smile

I dig them old buildings, We don't take care of old buildings. Tear them down or just let them go to hell until they get torn down.

Karlstad, pretty close to your country! For the Americans and others, Norway and Sweden are glued together, this town is close to Norway, which means they can pay a visit as well!
