My Oakley rep told me the only thing by Oakley that is not made in the good ole USA is their watches. Those are Swiss made.

Ever since Jim Jannard sold Oakley, they have been making stuff in China.

I have goggle and sunglasses of most, I do like my Smiths the best, not so much style, but def. fit and function, just wish they didn't cost so much, they never go on sale!

yea ok... Fox seems to work good for me, but not a big fan of their boots.. the Tech 10 stuff is much better IMO

I buy them because I like them and they take a hammering, though full coverage roll offs would tempt me to change. I really hope smith are working on some as I'm a big fan of Smith stuff.
My take is robotics and 3d printing will change yet again global manufacturing, though China for various reasons will remain extremely strong at volume manufacturing.

I try to only buy things that is made out of China. But it's difficult to know sometimes. I also refuse tho buy anything at places like walmart or netcompanys. But i noticed that Swedes training/racing in SoCal sometimes thinks more about lojality then Amerikans themselves. They think shortly and just buy cheapest shit as long they can earn a dollar. We for ex buying our Mx stuff from ECC in Ca or avoid bying anything. They helping out as much they can every year even if they having tough times themselfs. Solid nice/helpful people. No cheap shit shopping chinese parts.

I own 4 pair of Texas Jeans now.. they are the best fitting blue jeans I've ever worn and I am picky. 100% made in USA. About $30 a pair, which is similar if not cheaper than the chinese jeans at the malls. And they are heavy duty denim not the thin fabric that wears out after a few washes.

If they offer a "conceal and carry" line of jeans, they must be from Texas...Haha (and I was actually born in Texas)...

Back on topic........I was thinking of getting a pair of the Smith Goggles with the turbo fan for occassional work cleaning out chicken houses.

Anybody have any experience with how well they work and how long they last?
