from Racer X has just learned that Boost Mobile/Yamaha of Troy's Zach Osborne has been let out of his contract and will no longer be racing for the team. Stay tuned as we hear more on this recent development.

maybe he really is going to that yamaha team next year over seas and racing the gp's? that would suck zach needs to have 1 healthy season to show everyone what he can do. hes one heck of a good rider just had bad luck since turning pro

How many times did he actually even race for YoT?

I don't remember seeing him all year.

At least, Giuseppe Luongo will be happy. One US rider in his world championship... Good stuff for his buseness...

I thought he would do a lot better once he turned pro too. He must be sick as the way his pro carrer has been going with so much talent.

He did better when he was "Snack Pack". Could be he overworked it to get into shape and actually hurt his conditioning. IDK. Looked fast in the nationals he rode when he first turned Pro.

Think YOT has been concentrating too much on hiring these flash-in-the-pans guys. You know....one-time-holeshot and then burnout. Think they would do better to go with one, or both, of the Blose Bros.

Why doesn't YOT go for the Canards, Dungeys, Izzi's anymore? It seems for the last few years they have been going for the class of guys right behind the big names. Like the 6th through 10th guys graduating from LL's!

And a few has been riders.

I think Ozzy needs to go back there and get it going again.

Seriously, if anyone knows how to get ahold of him, tell him to give Machine racing a call in Canada. They just got one of their riders injured. MX2. Or he could give Suzuki Canada a call, their Rockstar Suzuki OTSFF team just had an injury as well, Brady Sheren broke his hand. MX 1. This could be what Zack needs to get his mental game back up.

Maybe he left YoT. They will be lucky to be considered a factory team next year. They dont have the money to hire top guys like some have mentioned.

He's racing the Next round of British GP's for Steve Dixons Yamaha Team then on to the GP's.

He's been over there riding for a few weeks.

Snack pack hung it out the few times I was there to watch him race in the big's. Gave me my moneies worth as a spectator.

Best of luck to him overseas.

And the remaining G.P's and British Nationals.

Top class team . Steve's been around forever and had some great guys through the years including Paul Malin & Billy Mac.

If Osbourne can't get it done he wont be able to blame the team put it that way.

"Plus the rest of their team hasn't set the world on fire (Zach Osborne did get dropped for going to England and riding in the wrong goggles and boots--a definite no-no)."

from the MXA, good read post!

Wait and see... But I honestly think that it will be difficult for Osborne... And, yes, Yam Dixon is out of question... Except maybe for the "money problem"...

Money problem??? Care to expand?

A few guys who saw Zach ride the UTAG Yamaha reckon he was only 1 second a lap quicker than his new team mate Martin Barr. Don't think he will pressure Simpson or Sword in British Champs for the time being.

Steve Dixon sticks by his riders, Malin, Nunn and McKenzie all had lengthy spells with him and he's given them equipment to win GP's. Lets hope Osbourne sticks it out and makes a real go of it here in Europe if it doesn't happen for him immdeiately........

Julien Bill used to ride for Yam Dixon in 2006. And from what I know, the team didn't totally pay him ...

Luongo sorted that one . Riders do shit or get injuries and they often find thier contracts suddenly dom't seem so rock solid. Just ask Osbourne.
7/23/2008 3:28pm
Luongo ???

How did he do that ??? Just curious...
