That is a really rough track and the kid wasn't loosing any speed, not even after 40 minutes race. Oh wait you Americans never raced more than 40 minutes. Guess what, Herlings could ride Lommel 60 minutes without sweating. Nobody will beat him on fitness.
I can only hope these 2 have a helluva moto, together...I don't care about 350 v. 250...they're BOTH so damn fast that it'll be nice to see them go at it...

If it plays out well...

We'll see them chating it up at the finish.

If Herlings is so great why doesn't he race against the best riders in the world?

Do the American's even know what sand is? Doesn't look like it in the clips i've seen of them....

Bum whipping over a single is just not the way to go, Especially at some where like Lommel, Pack up and go home already!

did you watch any racing this year?
All of them. The only way Roczen was in front of Blake was if he holeshot otherwise he was getting yarded by 30sec. That goes for Tomac too, smoked K-Roc. Send Herlings over next year, we will whip him into shape or we spank his ass and send him home like Searle.

I hope Herlings wins so that we might get to see that young womans stirring rendition of "Simply the Best" by Tina Turner. She brought the house down with it during his victory celebration :-)

Laughing individual is different to a team Wink Herlings lapped him last year I think though... Tongue

I think Baggett will be better this year than he was last year, the pressure and technical track seemed to get to him on the Sunday.

Baggett should be a contender for winning the MX2 class, he won't be lapped this year. Herlings might not even win his motos nevermind lap people... anything can happen.

1 is a pretty close number to 3 ....you follow?
The rest of the riders are free to go as fast as they want on the track.
Nothing is stopping them - the gods of MX do not care about how big their country is.
Not when you're a small country - a lot harder to find three guys of Herlings level than it is for the US to find guys of a Dungey level. Hence why USA are favourites over Holland.

USA can't find a team in one state as strong as Dungey, Barcia and Bagget that is because choosing a team from one state means they have less people to choose from and a more restricted geographical area.... essentially not as many good riders to choose from.

Now.. if Holland took over Europe ...they could pick a stronger team such as Cairoli, Roczen and Herlings .. this is due to a bigger population and bigger geographical area Woohoo See how much stronger Holland would be...Tongue

So.. if Holland was the size of Europe and USA was say the state of Minnesota , then they would only have one top rider ie Dungey, whereas Holland would have three. Holland would then be favourites, and it would be harder for USA to win.... Nothing else has changed except the size and population of the countries.

This doesn't mean Dungey would be any less than the riders representing this big country of Holland though even though he wouldn't win the event.

See... Smile

Because he just turned 18 two weeks ago. He'll cross the pond, don't worry. He's still a kid, like Zach Bell.

GuyB/Ocscottie... I don't know why you let McCread post here.. He's getting LENNY like.. He rarely posts anything other than ridiculous 'facts" and stories that are obviously intended to piss people off.. Mohammad does it too, but it's only once a year and that's okay I guess it gets me in the mood for MXDN... Geoff too... McCread ruins thread after thread with his "bait".. When normal GP fans start backing away from the guy because of his GP rider inferiority complex.. I think it might be time to pull the plug.. He's making other "euros" with valid opinions and insight look bad, and creating hate towards them as well.. Most of the U.S. arrogance towards GP riders comes from their fans being ridiculous.. You could post something like "RV was amazing today"...McCread will come in "He's lucky he's not riding GP's or DeDycker will DESTROY him in the more difficult WORLD championship"... American arrogance to McCread is the equivalent to inviting him into your home and he takes a look at your TV..Then he tells you how much better his TV is at home..then when you tell him to fuck off .. he calls YOU the prick.. "American Arrogance"

You know what, he might do that. Cause he respects other racers, even if he just whooped his ass.
