The best show ever: Arrested Development. The humor is so well thought through. I´ve watched all seasons many times, and each time I notice small details and jokes I didn´t notice the first times.

For sure! That series is the only thing we take on long road trips, it is the most re-watchable program ever made.

I don't think so, it's a show about nothing.

x2, great cast, great writing and funny as shit. I'm sure you know this but the series is back in production to catch us up on what has happened to the Bluth family for the last 5-6 years prior to a feature movie being released.

One of the best shows I got myself and my 10 year old hooked on was the last version of Battlestar Galactica which showed and may be still showing on the BBC. Went into it thinking is was going to be as bad as the original yet it turned out as well written and dramatic as the original was hokey. We ended up recording and watching all 160 something episodes and was good all the way to the end.

May not be considered a "TV Series" more like reality TV than anything but I like:

Mountain Men
Yukon Men (I Think?)

Both are about living in the wild (mountains). I love the wilderness and envy those guys!

I would like a new series to watch.

I like comedy, action, fantasy, whatever as long as it is well made. Miniseries or something that runs over many seasons, I like both.

Some examples of what I have seen and liked: Game of thrones, Breaking bad, 24, The Wire, Everybody loves Raymond, Seinfeld.
Please recommend if you have seen anything nice!

Thanks in advance!
You like Seinfeld, so you like "smart humor" (tho, Raymond hurts your rep).

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Best show on TV the last few years.

The League is pretty funny as well.

And if you like dark humor, Wilfred, VERY funny show. Louis CK's tv show is great too, another very smart show that most lemmings wont find funny.

Another smart humor show.

It's always weird that that show got canned.

Louis CK is a great show. His stand up is funny as hell.

I´m looking forward to the new season, apparently it has been filmed this summer. BUT, I´m sceptical about a full length movie. They rarely succeed in making them as funny as they tv-show. but I´ll keep my fingers crossed!

Also, Louis CK is funny, I really enjoy his stand up Smile

I just finished "House of Cards" a while ago, I think many of you guys would like it, it is a good series, it is about the politics in Washington. Kevin Spacey plays the main character.

Excellent program for sure with decent acting not great but a good story line and cute women. And if you're not watching Game of Thrones just stop now and go start at the beginning and get to watching!

I got turned on to "Homeland" a few months ago. I watched seasons one and two within two weeks on On Demand. The new season is set to start in the fall, great show if you haven't seen it. (Its on Showtime)

Back to the comedy and Outnumbered.....

Does this only work for Brits? ( first clip that came to hand on Youtube).

And another (probably not for the overly religious amongst y'all)

Yeah that's originally a UK series. I'm a big fan and hope to see the U.S version too.

For more political ducking and weaving type drama (told in a first person narrative); I also enjoyed the Alan Clarke Diaries, although I'm not sure anyone outside the UK would get it. Very amusing and sad in places ep1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ecgqtwd0fM

Hello, I just watched "the Americans" pretty ok, about USA vs Soviet union and their spying on each other. The setting is in the 80-ies, in USA, during the Reagan years.

Homeland is amazing, great series. I was addicted and watched the first season in one weekend, season two is great as well. Waiting for season three to come out on video (it will be a while, it is just starting on Showtime).

Based on the original suggestions, I started Justified a while back and agree that is a great series. I am mid-way through season 3 now.

One that has not been mentioned, that at first I was hesitant about watching, is Downton Abbey. Slower paced, but great series from what I have seen so far (Season 1).

As others have said- Breaking Bad is all time best series. Mad Men is great, obviously Sopranos, Dexter, The Wire. Entourage.

I also enjoyed Nip Tuck for at least the first few seasons (it got too weird at the end).

Modern Family is incredible on the comedy side.

Boardwalk empire is amazing, once you get into it.

Game of Thrones is good.

Breaking Bad - you can watch them all on Netflix.

True Detective will be great, coming up in January on HBO

Is nobody watching Hostages? I'm hung up on that TV show.

Also, Hannibal should be starting up again soon. That was a great twisted TV show.
