Cool, seems many here on Vital are clueless when it comes to knowning anything.

Sounds like a fun race, too bad I'm in So Cal or I would race it for sure.

Just a short drive north! Riverside to Vancouver is less than 23 hours. Think of how badass this is going to be! Round up your buddies and split the gas money.

Two weeks ago I was on an Alaskan cruise out of Seattle with a stop in Victoria, BC. Had great time every day of the trip.

I would do the drive if I was on the "Obama stimulus plan", but drat, I have to work..........

I heard a nasty little rumor that we may see Timmy Ferry there... I just can't wait to hear a full gate of them hammer the whoops again!

Whats up Jeff!!. Ya i lurk around here quite a bit. You'll have to take a look at my CR at the dream race. I think i might let it go after that race, i saw you might be looking for a cr125. How have you been?
Ahhh.....not much. Lots of work and started riding again a little while back. And dude.....I think I saw you a few months ago. I live right down the street from Porno Bob. I'm almost positive it was you.

As far as the 125's go.....I am not sure what I'm going to do. I was thinking maybe a 250 instead.......but this all depends on how much work I can get lined up for the winter. Construction business goes up and down so much......it's safe to keep a nest egg built up so you don't go hungry over the winter.

So.....you going to the 125 race for sure then? I'll be going up there and hanging out with Jason Parks and the rest of the boys.

Ya I will be there. Might be riding a yz if things work out. If not I''ll be on my trusty cr. For a Honda she rips and has pretty much anything you can do done but still not as fast as a yz with the same amount of work. And dude I thought that was you too but I wasn't sure. I just live a few blocks away too hahaha.

Looks like Ping mentioned it in the last Racerhead... This is definitely going to kick ass, it's pretty big news here locally and has over 120 riders looking to go burn some premix.

Ping:

"I got this email from some two-stroke enthusiasts up in the Northwest. Looks like I’m going to have to book a ticket to Portland:

We are getting close to the First Annual 125 Dream Race at Washougal MX Park. I have been working with Brian Barnes to put this event together. This will be on September 16th at Washougal. It will be 125 only and open to Pro Intermediate and junior riders. It will be a blind team race. Qualifying in the morning and a two moto format in the afternoon. How will the team race work? After qualifying officials will team up riders to a two rider team. Fastest qualifier with the slowest qualifier or two mid pack riders together. This will ensure that all bikes on the track will be racing for points all moto long. Both team riders will be on the track at the same time. At the end of the day the team that has the most points wins. We hope to see a pro and a up and coming junior rider share a trophy and some cash on the podium and The 125 Dream Race Championship!"

You can also check out www.motothenw.com I'd assume updates will be seen there as well as facebook.
If they pair up the fastest with the slowest, will this not result in serious sandbagging in the qualifying?? Dry

I thought about this too.. could be interesting.

I'm sure at the riders meeting both the officials and promotors will stress that any sort of these team tactics will be dealt with... that doesn't clear up a "DNF" or crash situation- someone is going to take advantage of it for sure.

Awesome, thanks for those pics!!!

I have a question that maybe you can answer: do I have to pre sign up, or can I show up on race day? Cuz I can't commit and say I'm going to be there for the 250 class, but I really, really want to. And the only way I can is if the option is open. Either way, I'm going. Whether it be spectating from the sidelines or spectating from the back of the pack haha

Whoever is the promoter at that race needs to line up another on here in SoCal. I bet Pala or Elsinore would be all over that. Maybe Cahuilla?

You can sign up the night before I believe after practice and of course the morning of. You should just goto practice the day before and feel things out, see what you'll have more fun doing! Even practice the other week had alot more 2 strokes out there than usual...

I'm telling you, get your 2 stroke buddies together and make a quick trip up! 23.5 hours from Riverside- split the gas, it'll be worth it. They are running a 250 2 stroke class as well as apart of their regular motos.
