Emig isnt any worse than Baily was. David talked about his career all the time

Nobody waxed on about themselves more than David Bailey.

Emig is very good.

Jeff is an awesome racer and good commentator , period.

To come from where he was 15 or so years ago to being able to talk for hours on end on a live tv broadcast must have been very difficult for him.

Sure he has his moments, but he's paid to share his experiences, and he's been to the top of the mountain 4 times more than any racer on this forum.

why do you think he is in there? he's a past champion he has racing 'cred' he is meant to be listened to because he has been there and knows what it takes and has real racing experience.. if he didn't remind the audience of this he'd be seen as just a talking head... *cough bestwick cough*

I like hearing him talk about his career he worked his arse off to get those stories and he deserves to tell them

Emig is awesome. He does a great job and it is great to hear about his experiences.

Emig is the coolest rider of all time and Red Bud was once known as Emigland. It's a special place for him.

I'm pretty sure.... actually I know the point of having an ex pro in the booth is so he can provide "Expert Analysis". Watch any sport from Troy Aikman In football, to Buck Martinez in Baseball (I could come up with at least 50 more examples) it's pretty common.

As for Bailey, he's solid. To me he comes off as kind of arrogant the last few years he was in the booth. Emig at this point is on par with him as a broadcaster and to me his career is more relevant because it was in my lifetime.
