Can anyone tell me how to get the stator( i think thats what its call, its on the left side of the motor) off a 2010 crf. I got the nut off is it just hard to pull off or what? and to the left of that theres a plastic gear its got a clip on it, anyone know any easy way to get that off? thanks

You need a fly wheel puller. Only Chuck Norris can pull off fly wheels by hand.

Don't even try to take it off with out the tool. It won't come off and you'll do more damage trying. Take it to your local shop and have them pull it of. Takes 2 minutes.

There are different pullers for different brand bikes (Suzuki, Yamaha) and different pullers for different models (RMz250, RMz450). Some models of pullers might interchange but sounds like you need to buy thhe correct one for what you need and go from there.

Best get the right puller,or take it to someone who has the right puller. Not an area to "improvise" with a makeshift or incorrect tool.

You do not want to booger anything up. If you were to say,damage the threads on the end of the crank, your troubles have just been multiplied tenfold.

The correct puller is a Motion Pro M28X1.0 part # 15-8100
