Walker will win unless the state of Wisconsin has gone absolutely bonkers.

There is no way Obama wins by 5 points (IF he wins).

And if it were the other way around, there would be some "unhinged righties" in WI tonight.

I am ready to see a common sense party.

Obama and Romney are nothing but more of the same. Both will attract the same old "do nothing" type of party politics. Neither are willing to make hard choices, and neither are willing to make a plan to clean up the existing mess because they are not willing to bite the hand that feeds them.

What you're saying is, that one of the "TWO" teams won?

In my personal opinion, that's no victory.

Damn.

The very same over-paid & coddled Govt employees that started this entire Tantrum-based mess have just handed the Governor a Ultra-Empowered MANDATE!

I oughta send'em a Thank You card.

Has anyone heard of the Ryan bill? A republican congressman from WI is trying to take Railroad Retirement and lump it in with Social Security. This will screw the shit out of all railroad workers.

http://www.goiam.org/index.php/tcunion/legislative-outlook/10044-rrbudget

Was the guy that won the election the anti-union guy or the other guy? Sorry I dont have a whole lot of background on this.

When people figure out that neither party has their best interest at heart, thing may take a turn for the better.

Until then, it's nothing but the same.

The guy who won wasn't the "anti union guy" he was the pro taxpayer guy. Having unions involved in any type of government work is the equivalent of having a lazy kid dictate how much his parents pay for his allowance. Hopefully this is just the beginning of the end for government worker unions.

Guess most of you fucks just don't want to discuss the topic of this thread......

This is the beginning of the end of public sector collective bargaining. In the state where such crap was born.....

No doubt, others will be emboldened by this victory, and the 'fox guarding the henhouse" crap of public employee unions will die a shithole death. Gawd, I love it.....

And you're spot fucking on, Whiteknuckle, that I don't have any experience working "in" a union. Not a prayer that I'd EVER take a job where some bunch of brainless dickheads had the "right" to take my money for union dues. Your mileage may vary.....

Collective bargaining? The unions bargaining against the politicians who's spouses belong to the unions? What a total fucking crock. I'm glad this public fleecing is getting some pushback.

There is no true winner in this mess. Just more of the same.

Dr. Mark, I am not much of a union man either, in fact, they can be a real pain in my ass at times. With that said, things change, and the insurance industry is the target of that change. I don't agree with it, but it's reality.

That's what happens when the Medical and Pharmaceutical industry have such strong lobby's.

And of that 30 million dollars, 66% of it came from outside Wisconsin super-pacs.

Super-pacs made our already broken political system even worse.

I still can't believe that the SCOTUS actually did this.

The sad part to me is that money has any influence whatsoever in an election. Pretty much says it all when it comes to the IQ of the American people. Critical thinking skills...a lost art.Sad

Always wondered what those guys leaning on shovels gets paid. Hell, I should just stop fighting them and just join 'em. I'd bet their engineers don't do squat, relative to what we do in the contract product development field. I can sit around doing little to nothing and get a raise out of it. Cool.

$12/hr for an entry-level office-supply store clerk seems pretty reasonable.

Unions are a huge issue with the competitiveness of American made products...

And they are so blindly partisan its not even funny...the coal unions in my neck of the woods blindly vote democrat...even if the democrat they are voting for has stated he wants to destroy the coal industry (Obama). How does that make any sense at all?

Screw Unions...They once had a place in America...but their time and season has passed. Time they go away....

How much do you think a school superintendent makes?

about $240,000
http://data.spokesman.com/salaries/schools/2012/

what about a elementary principle?

between $90,000 and $100,000
http://data.spokesman.com/salaries/schools/2012/job-titles/browse/?job_title=Elementary%20Principal

That is crazy considering what their responsibilities are and the lack of results they have achieved.

You guys should tune into C-Span and listen to the cluster fuck our government is. You think this is bad....what about the guys who head up these committees? They're rolling in the dough, they're doing a shitty job (without getting fired), and they're legislating to fill their pockets even more.

All you need to do is just contract with the government. This seems like pretty cool work environment.

I certainly do in our district. The superintendant has done a great job of juggling resources and providing the best education we can afford for our students and of the half dozen principals (that's how it's spelled, gabby) I've been around extensively do a great job and earn their pay.

I have a government contracting license. Bid a few jobs (even tried a few with Huck's business in mind). Nothing panned out.

I do sub-contract work for several large companies that made their business getting government contracts to develop new products/technologies. These companies are loaded with PhD's (government seems to think PhD's are actually more effective and intelligent than those without...so they favor companies that are full of those degrees). I've yet to see either company move any of these projects into the last phase, which is manufacture. So far, it's been a cost/schedule circle jerk just to keep the money flowing.
