Who does the filming for the FIM races?

That's cool they got it on tape. I saw through a cell phone camera this JS7 guy crashing this week end.

Unnecessary move yes, dirty no. Just a racing move that happens all the time. Tonis will get his payback if he has the stones. It's motocross, not tiddlywinks.

Definitely wasn't the worst move in history....

Like Jeffro said, the main issue was the speed. But Herlings was ahead and didn't hit Tonis straight on, so it's hard to call it dirty. It was just a little fast for most "block passes" we see.....

We need pics of Herlings girlfriend.....

We cannot determine the seriousness of the alleged take out without first determining the hotness of said GF/sister.

If she is really hot, then that was a really dumb move.
Not so hot, maybe he just did it because he has a hard time breaking up with girls so he thought this would do the trick?

If it wasnt "dirty" or "intentional": then why did he feel the need to give a half assed apology for doing it?

Bingo. He knew it was. Anyone with eyes to see can see it was. I've never understood the whole "crashing people out is racing" mentality. I thought racing was trying to get around the track faster than your competition. If he has any plans on coming over here he'd better drop that crap like a bad habit.

He also pulled one of those cheap "move overs" off the start of moto1 on Searle.

Was a great day of racing though, the MX1 (450) class was truly incredible! Woohoo

May I ask where you race that obvious take out moves are "Just a racing move" or "Happen all the time"?

That was not a simple block pass. He went WAY out his way to clean his clock.

He needs to be docked points!

That was a dangerous move, could have injured Tonus.

He also pulled a dirty move on Searle at a start.

He will get what he deserves.

When he gets destroyed by the Americans at the MXDN at his own track we will see if he is so big headed.

He certainly creates a lot of drama för his team. Even when he is winning he drops stupid comments and remarks that makes it hard to like the kid. When he is not winning he behaves like a baby and drops even more stupid comments.

Now he has gone from saying stupid things to doing stupid moves on the track, and then backing it up by saying more stupid things in the pressconference. His team must be scared every time he opens his mouth. He is dropping like a stone on my list of riders I like. He just comes of like really insecure when he can't take that Tonus can stay in front of him...

On another note Tonus was riding great after his long injury. Standing on the pegs, looking effortless and not swapping all over the track like Jeffrey claimed. I wonder what the MX2-guys from Yamaha have done to earn all this bad luck...Osbourne, Tonus, Charlier ( his shoulder popped out 2nd moto) and Lieb...

who is going to beat him? Apart from himself and a bad gate pick, Only Stewart could maybe run with him and Cairoli that I can see. He went 2-3 seconds quicker than Roczen there.

His move was stupid but he is an amazing rider and incredible in the sand.

Completely unnecessary, the amount of riders complaining about Herlings on Twitter is amazing! No one was taking the outside all day long, so he can't even claim he was just riding his lines. If he had just gone to the inside, as he had been doing, he would of come out with at least a second on Tonus as he was recovering from his mistake!

the move on tonus was dirty and he should be docked points for it or be given a penalty of dropping 10 grid positions from where he qualifies next gp, he never went on that outside line afterwards always through the middle in the ruts.

The move on tommy i thought was racing he out jumpted him off the gate and moved across after he was passed it wasn't like the italian move, i'm british and a massive tommy fan even have a set of his racing jeans that he wore at the mx des nations in my collection so i am biased towards tommy. Herlings has a massive amount of self confidence to the point that he feels he is the fastest and everyone should get out of his way because he is going to go by anyway other riders in history have been like this everts in the early 90's and not so long ago js7

I usually support all the international riders who have the guts to go racing the AMA series. Now I've found a rider who I hope will be destroyed once he gets across the pond.

I agree with this. I don't like the guy right now but he is an incredible talent, especially in the sand. I also think docking him points is going too far, he's not the first rider in history to take someone out. I just wish he'd let his riding do the talking because it's (apart from the Tonus incident) usually more than sufficient and doesn't need help from Jeffreys mouth.

From what I gather,he doesn't have much interest in going over there,he's not too struck on the US

As for K-roc,as last year went on he pretty much could mach him anywhere,as for sand he could put 2 or 3 seconds on him at will but generally it was his inconsistentcy that let him down,a blip at the GP in England towards the end of the year ended the championship going down to the wire.

The move though was uncalled for,he wasn't taking that line at all during the race and he was getting frustrated not being able get by Tonus, his attitude isn't doing him any favours, shame because he's such an all round talent,he doesn't need a Target on his back

100% intentional, Herlings did the typical amateur look back to make sure he was going to hit Tonus. He really should have added a couple more looks over his shoulder just so there wasn't any question.

What should the FIM do about it? I dunno, probably nothing. These things have a way of working themselves out on track. Herlings will get some major cheap shots sooner than later.

Holy cow, really?? He didn't "go out of his way" he merely ran Tonus wide and Tonus didn't avoid the contact. This kind of pass happens all the time, at all skill levels, in all series, all over the world. It's motocross and motocross is a rough sport. Some race clean, some not so much but every racer is different in his or her style and aggression level. Like I said it was indeed a take out move, but it wasn't a overly hard one. You guys make it sound like he t-boned the guy tapped in 5th. I used to race this one guy every weekend. I was always the clean rider, he was always the polar opposite. He would try to take me out, I would try to pass him clean. Week after week. I never got upset because I understood that it was the only way he could try to match my speed, plus I generally came out on top, We had some great racing and he kept me on my toes lol.

Geeze, pull up your skirts Nancy boys lol Tongue If you don't like contact in mx maybe you should take up knitting or something.
