What if Bagget was on a KTM and Roczen was on a Pro Circuit Kawasuki, would Roczen be leading the championship?

If Carlosmacho was a thread, do you think he would be moved to the dumbgeon?

No.

Ken doesn't have the speed down yet, but he will in a few races.

Plus Blake will burn himself out in the next 2/3 rounds. Something in the kid that seems to find it hard to have a strong full series.

Personally I'd rather to be on a PC Kawi, but I don't think you should overlook the fact that Geico and PC have now had a few years of compiling race settings for Barcia, Tomac & Baggett etc on these tracks. KTM haven't even got any base settings to go on from last year as Musquin sat out most of the Outdoor season.

KR and Musquin basically have 15 minutes of practice and then timed qualifying to learn the track and specify what settings they want. Against that kind of competition and such well established teams KTM has to be at a disadvantage, even if its only small. Obviously BB and ET have hit the ground running at the start of the outdoor season too! They know the drill and they know what to expect.

My opinion of Freestone is that its just flat out everywhere and ridiculously hot. There are maybe two or three slow corners on the entire circuit while the riders are basically just WFO everywhere else. There are no tracks like that on the GP circuit and certainly no races held in that kind of heat. Thats why I think Roczens rides were average by his standards.

It should also be noted that last year Tomac went 5-6 and Baggett 7-16.

interesting thread title!

This is blatant trolling. How is this clown not banned yet?

People like him and MXMatti do nothing but stir up America vs Europe bullshit. It's one thing to root for your continent and all, its another thing to just stir the pot for the fun of it. Brings the board down.

The tread title is a bit dubious... but for the first time ever I don't actually think he is trolling here.

Seems like a fairly legitimate question, hence my reply.

Carlos,
As an experiment, I just created a thread directly into the Dumbgeon. Why not save Guy B. trouble in future and do like-wise-with yours. Just a suggestion fella Wink

Agreed, that's a very good post. It's those kind of things, like the lack of experience for KTM with settings etc., that are all too easy to forget as a viewer. There's so much more to the combined effort that goes on behind the scenes.

When the Americans go to Europe to race the MXDN they have the same disadvantage, but they win.

Like Mitch said on Pulp, what resources does PC have that Factory KTM doesnt? He said the only difference between his team and any other is what the budget is for the riders' salaries. Had made a good point about each teams' resources, but you can only work with the production model starts you out with, I suppose. Are the Kabooms really that inferior of a motorcycle?

This weekend at Thunder Valley, there will be a show down between Roczen and Bagget, and I believe the PC Kawa will be the deciding factor (if it doesn't blow up).

No, You were right, I agree that Roczen has a disadvantage from track knowledge to bike set up. But the point was, in MXON, the Americans have the same disadvantage when they go over their. Same when Europeans come to the US for MXON. The point is, the Americans overcome this disadvantage and win.

The Americans in MXON also have the disadvantage that they don't ride in the rain as much, at least that is what some have said here. They have also said we have little sand experience so we are at a disadvantage and the upcoming MXON. The Americans are use to this though. Think about it, the SX tracks can be different every year and the jumps are never the same, so Americans must deal with this on a weekly basis which may give them an advantage going to different tracks.

"Freestone is that its just flat out everywhere and ridiculously hot.,,,,,Thats why I think Roczens rides were average by his standards."
It wasn't that hot this year. But even it if it was, isn't that making excuses for Roczen? You don't seem like the type. But then your whole post was an excuse as to why Roczen has not won. It couldn't be that Americans are faster? When we go to Europe, the Americans don't make excuses like that (mostly because they don't have to because they win).

So while I agree you have some valid points, they all seemed to be excuses why Roczen is not winning, Correct me if I am wrong.
