I have all my race cranks done there, they do top notch work.

I have a long rod Crf250 and a Crf490 with a Carrillo rod being done now

They charge $200 to rebuild and balance plus the cost of the heavy metal to get it in balance @ $0.32/gram

I agree it"s not a good idea to trust the wiseco crank. Performance wise the big bore piston will throw the balance factor of the crank off even further so having your crank balanced to that piston is well worth it.

Like everyone else, I look forward to your finished project!

Looks good, but where is that smoke coming from? I'm sure you know that you misspelled "weapon" in the end of the edit. What did you end up doing as far as suspension set up? Were you able to stay within the $3500 budget? Keep up the builds, looking forward to hearing your ride report.

Turned out nice. Our 04 CRF250 needs a going over. Been sitting in the corner for a few years now as we migrated away from the 4's. My old YZ250F fired right up the other day though! Wouldn't run off choke, but I'm sure a pilot flush will clear that right up. One day it will get a strip down/rebuild and probably a few motor mods along the way. Good stuff, now what's next??

You're gonna LOVE it! I had an 07 built to the exact same level as yours, it sounded exactly the same. It was an amazing bike and real attention getter. It ran slightly stronger than the original 400 only a lot lighter and handled far better. I wish I had never gotten rid of that bike but it bit me pretty hard I was off riding for a year and a half. Nonetheless enjoy it bec once you ride it you'll see how great it is. IMO that would be a much better sized open bike I could hang w similar riders on 450's all day
