Hehe. I remember being so excited when I discovered Cycle News and learned I didn't have to wait a whole month to learn who won a National..via Motocross Action/Dirtbike...but only a week or so before my Cycle News showed up in the mail.

Seriously, It's shit like this that make motocross look like a fourth rate sport. Even surfing gets better live coverage than motocross. Disgraceful! I know, I know...we should be grateful for what little we get.

the good old days we'd wait weeks to maybe watch on ESPN....go outside enjoy life watch race in the morning.

Those that don't get the channel it'll be posted on youtube in a day or two I bet. I do wish I got FUEL TV in HD though...my whine.

I could swear I recall a post by DC on vital when the deal was announced saying that since we took a step back on the TV coverage we'd have the ability to watch everything online. It wasn't ideal because you couldn't DVR, but it was better than waiting all day and avoiding the internet if you didn't want a spoiler.

If my memory is faulty, my mistake. Feel free to delete this thread mods.....

Heck, we'd find out on Friday who won the previous Sunday - when Cycle News came out. The only info we got before that was from industry people who'd call around to various shops and give them a quick run-down.

What weekly surfing events get live TV coverage?

I like how some of you are trying to put all of the blame on DC/MXSports. Did it ever occur to you that the networks come up with the time slots and not DC? Face it, no one but a small group of core motocross fans is going to give up an entire afternoon to sit and watch a National live. NBC/FUEL are in business to make money, and that won't happen if there's only a handful of people watching.

I think it's coming.........
Motocross is not a main stream sport. I appreciate the efforts gone into allowing us to see. it. I would be complaining if there was no way to see it on either tv or the internet. SX is a more mainstream sport and has spoiled us. Now many think motocross should get the same coverage but probably should get about the same coverage as National trials or enduro event, tell me if you get to watch those live..
