You may have seen #75 on a KXF450 cruising around at the back of the

Red Bud pack this Sunday - he's of the Florida Renners.

After creating killer lap times on Saturday - (almost top-tenn'ish)

he jacked himself up over the LEAP and arranged to have stitches

inserted in his lower jaw area.

Ricky was the last rider to ride over Mike Alessi in the 2nd moto

Sunday afternoon, and the first to turn around and go back to him

to offer aid. (Get better soon, Mike.)

This selfless act, not much seen anymore in motocross - especially at the

pro level - is to be recognised and applauded.

I'm gonna find a medal around my house to place around Renner's skinny neck

next time I see him.

I just wanted everyone to know what a FINE young MAN Ricky Renner is -

especially at a time when you hear a lot of bad crap about

some of our young pro riders....

Oh yeah, worth mentioning, Ricky has a hot chickie g/f named Leah Cantrell

that can ride the stickers off a 450 , too...just sayin'.....

Yep, Ricky was bummed that he got hurt during practice, but wanted t finish the moto and score what prize money that he could. At one point during the first moto he pulled over and said, "Hey, I'm in 30th place!" It was pretty funny.

That was classy and very humanistic of him to ensure Mikey was taken care of before resuming his moto!

He cased the leap as hard as anyone could have. I didn't know too much about him, but we parked next to him and he seemed like a really cool guy.

haha, that's awesome.

There's nothing worse than running over another rider.....well....apart from getting run over! He should be applauded for his actions for sure - especially considering the last time someone turned around in a national to help another rider it wasn't quite so noble......I believe it was Walker..... :-)

I was right at the leap's landing when Renner cased it. The whole crowd did gasp.

It was a bit scary, glad to see him continue with the day after that.

In Renner's defense a lot of the 450 guys were commenting on how you had to judge that leap on the 450... it was easy to overjump it.

I wanted to say thanks to all the people who noticed and commented on Ricky checking on Mike. Ricky and Mike have raced against each since they were 6 yrs old. Ricky is out on the road for the next 3 weeks with a friend doing the next few outdoor nationals. If you get a chance stop by and say hi to him... you will see he is a great kid. Yes he is my son, and I may be prejudice, but I have to say Ricky is the kind of kid that if you needed something from him and he had it or could arrainge it, he would. I can't be there to cheer him on, so IF YOU ARE at a race, could you do it for me. And Ricky I know you read this, I am proud of you!

Mrs. Renner - as you well know, Ricky's a great kid.

He made me laugh all the way to Moscow and back.

I , too - love that kid.

I agree he is a great kid. I met him many times racing here in Florida since he was on mini bikes. I was wondering who the concerned rider was and wanted to applaud him. Not surprised it was Ricky. Best of luck on the rest of his career.

What a cooincidence. That incident involved MA too. Laughing Very cool of Ricky to turn around and check on Mikey. Don't see that too often on the professional level. I know it was only practice, but kind of like J-law giving the guy whose bike broke a lift back to the pits. Forget who it was. Good to see these guys looking out for each other.
