Now that he can make his own choices about what gear he'll be wearing next year (as opposed to being lumped into a team contract with Alias)...I'm betting he's back under the Fox umbrella...just a hunch

I was thinking the same thing while watching Vegas SX. I bet he goes back to Fox also, since he wore Fox for alot of his amateur career. I could see him in Shift though.

He's a very marketable rider who happens to be very fast. Hence the gear companies care...
Maybe news to you, but these riders make big dollars to wear said gear. Hence the riders care...
A lot of times, the parents of these riders are part of the negotiations of said deals. Hence the parents care...
Some of the employees are such big fans of the sport that it can be exciting to get a rider of this caliber on the brand that you work for. Hence the employees of gear companies care....
MOST fans of the sport are a bit curious of what their favorite riders will be wearing on the gate at A-1...this is a very fashion driven sport. Hence...the fans care.

Anymore stupid questions??

The highest bidder/best negotiated package. I've noticed subtle differences between gear brands but not one was heads and toes "better" than others. I could see a taylor fitted clause in the contract. They get new gear every practice if they want so durability shouldn't matter.

He was a SHIFT rider as an AM until he signed with Geico and they had the No Fear team deal.
