That would mean one rider for another. Even if JGR had something like that in their contract, do you really think any other riders / teams do?

Furthermore, what team would give up a top tier rider that they signed for short money so he could go win for someone else? BTW, who the fuck is going to pay the "minor league" guys when the 20th place guy doesn't even break even now!

Man, I loved Iron Eagle back in 1980's, especially towards the end when he's being chased by the helicopter and he's on his XR250R (at least I think it was a 250?). Oh yeah, back to your post........for starters, simmer down now! I think the OP was supposed to be a hypothetical question. At least I hope it was. Everyone know's a rider would and could never be traded. First off, you'd have to have a riders union to protect the riders as a whole. Second of all, riders pick (for the most part) their sponsors, i.e. gear, helmet, goggles. It wouldn't work, because some teams have contracts with each of those exclusively for their team riders, like MotoConcepts, PC, Geico...................Son of a bitch! I got off the topic again.

Yes the trade dealings was hypothetical ..... Why not since it works in so many other sports?

Another question.....

JGR is the media mogul (David Evans JS's old manager) and never misses an opportunity to get the team and sponsors name out there. JS7 publicly stated he was racing the outdoors.....why hasnt JGR put out a press release saying JS7 is racing the outdoors for JGR?
