It's funny how many people want to read between the lines when the lines themselves make perfect sense. Coy Gibbs is saying what he thinks, that James is a good guy, Coy respects him and he'd be racing if he wasn't hurt. There's no drama in that. Coy and James may decide they're better off in the long run going different directions - if they do, it'll be between them. I just want to see Stewart race some more. The guy is a certified genius on a bike. And I want to see JGR win a bunch of races, they deserve it.

Who gives a shit? The other rider on the team damn near won this past weekend. On that unrideable YZ at that.
What happens when JS gets on another bike and still crashes and doesn't win?

You reap what you sow. If James can act like an ass and get protected by Coy then Coy deserves what he gets down the road.
how is james acting like an ass?
1. Well according to the Cycle News articles he isn't well communicating with his team. (now amazingly Coy says he is). I guess his team manager wasn't in the loop (doubtful)

2. He has been asked to go to the races for the team and has declined (even though they pay him millions).

3. He has let the "leaving the team" talk get to the point that his team manager publicly acknowledges that he has no idea. (that suggests that James has not reassured JGR of the fact that they are his team and the talk is just that talk)

Maybe Albrecht is just out of the loop. James does have a way with team managers...just ask LB. Regardless, it seems that he has poisoned the relationship at yet another team.

He gets paid millions more in one year than that other rider will make in his entire career. That's what happens. Just the way things are.

What does larry have to do with any of this?

That is very true actually. Theres a theory (or hypothesis) that I forget the name of that basically says the easiest answer is usually the correct answer.

Bottom line is it dont matter. RC tweeted the keyboard warriors are gonna have fun this week or something like that and Chad tweeted RC saying how do you like your new teammate. Obviously referring to JS7! So James is on a zook

This is called covering you ass while in litigation.

It may take some time, but the two parties will end up making a deal so both can move on and go their own ways.

James needs to get out of his deal with Yamaha and JGR first, or he's going no where.

I thought Jbone was out of line to talk the way he did.
I thought it was a bunch of chest pounding on his part, and didn't sound like a professional team manager, regardless if it was true or not.

If it were untrue, yes.

I'm sure part of his job was to keep james coddled and happy...... maybe he felt the need to explain his failure in that regard

lose-lose situation for JBone, I feel for him

JBone could have easily kept his mouth shut. Now he can reap what he sowed.

Occam's razor: all things being equal, the simple explanation is better than a more complex one.

In this case, the answer is neither particularly simple -- i.e., the decision to give a large pile of of money back to JGR -- nor complex, i.e. the wish to ride a machine that is a proven winner in its current design (e.g. Chad Reed and Ryan Dungey's titles in two of the last three outdoor seasons).

We will soon find out whether Stewart's decision to opt for both of those paths leads to the winner's circle, or instead to more of vital's particular brand of circular logic (akin to the rotation of water in the bowl after flushing).

Bad parenting? Kinda crazy how Alessi's Dad always gets blamed at every turn but noone ever brings up Bubba's Dad.
