Okay, So. Cal. people, eyes open out there. The tractor for the Team Ohlins/Langston Motorsports/KTM rig was stolen from the Langston Motorsports race shop overnight.

If you have any info, check in at 716 485-1794.

dont they have security cameras running during the closing hours.damm, you think after the other incident,they wold be on top of it now. guard dogs at least.

First coat of paint is probably drying right now. Steal it in the night, drive a short distance to a warehouse and go to work with the paint. Next couple of weeks get it down to Mexico.

I doubt its teen punks out for a joy ride.

Two words. Chop shop. Part it out, everything can be used except the frame, engine block and ECM, which have serial numbers. Repaint the body parts and your in business.

Yes! It's a crazy story:

Drug lord hires helicopter to fly him during the race- so he can watch his trophy truck in the race.

Why would you not have a tracking device on it? I know a guy who used to run a delivery service and he had all his piece of crap cars trackable.

Yup, that was an adventure. 2007.
We were one of the first teams to head back north and we were able to get through Ensenada. Everyone else in our group behind us were held there for the night. We pull up to the border at 1am. Border patrol is turning everyone away (I think borders closed at 10pm?), but they take one glance at our rig that had been through hell and back and let us through the border.

That was the same year one of the McMillan rigs was jacked.

I hope they find Langston's rig and/or who was involved. But I would also guess it's on it's way to Mexico.

That sucks.

You would think they would have some sorta GPS tracking chip in those rigs.
Their (RMT's Smart Tracker System) not really spendy at all and the service is cheap.
