One of my favourite riders ever, great personality, great in his interviews and spectacular on the track. I was so sure he'd win the 2000 125 National championship at the end of 1999 (RC was going to move up to 250s full time) but it just didn't seem to happen for him on Pro Circuit.

I wonder what Tallon is up to these days.

I always loved the look of the Vohland boys back in the 1980's. Yoko gear..........green Kawi's...........Looked clean, but foreign in a cool way. Thanks again Tony!

Tallon is back living in Sacramento. He works for Acerbis, a longtime relationship he forged in Europe, and has an 8 yr old son Max that is racing now and seems to be a chip of the old block. I see him and Tyson often and they are the same cool family I met in the 1980's when we were kids!

I posted a PR last week and saw Max's name, i was stoked to see another Vohland in the game, good people! Grandma V made my brother me and Nealer matching jerseys back in the day, with our names on them in gold colored rainbow tape!

She also made badass tank covers and crossbar pads (see 'em in the pic below) Cool

LOL! I remember those tank pads. I had a few of her jerseys when I was on mini's too..

Tallon texted me last week and said Max won 4 qualifying motos and got a 2nd and two 3rds o/a in the 50 and 60 classes at the World Mini. That was his first big race other than local races since he started. Like I said... chip off the old block!

That's awesome, hopefully we'll be seeing Max up there in a few years.

I saw Tallon ride at the gps alot in the 90s and he had some of the best ride's going. I think my favriot was the pepsi honda managed by Decosta that was such a cool looking bike with the JT gear.
Always looked good, Always rode hard another one of the great US exports. Now if we could just convince a couple more to give Europe a try.

both TVs are like brothers to me... the GPs ended up being a great experience for Tallon, but the selfish side of me feels cheated out of getting to watch his best years... Imagine the damage he would've done in the 125 Nationals in the mid 90s.
His son, Max is going to be a little bad ass pretty soon!

Tallon Vohland, lookin' like William Baldwin.

Surprised no one caught this. That #125 Kawasaki back there is a little man named "MC".

My brother and Tallon had some truly epic battles back in the day on minis! Tallon was a couple years younger though.

Spoke to Tallon this morning and he just got Max an 85 for training. Now he'll be riding a 50, 65 and 85... Shit just got real for the next generation of Vohlands.

Is that a yamaha semi in the background? I thought Kawi got all the credit for being first with a semi.
