A "linkageless" bike gets Top 5.

If you have a KTM you need to have someone who really know how to dial the shock to work for you.

I have a 03' 525Sx & I had a " top suspension tuner" work on it & it was worst then stock, then I had a very knowledgeable KTM/WP tuner fix it! the setup is very different & takes a whole different mind set from what the normal tuner's do.
You must be smarter than the top four motocross racing machine manufacturers because they all believe that it is better, but hey, what the hell do they know?

most of you aren't fast enough to tell a difference and you definetly wont be hitting stadium whoops 5th, 4th, or 3rd pinned for that matter...........pick a color they're all really good

True dat.I was joking with Ol Ger about the 5th gear whoops.But we were talking about top 5 in a pro race today.Most of these guys here don't even ride or may trail ride mostly with a couple trips a year to the track.And not technical,jumpy,Super Cross or even National calibur style tracks.E Start Katoom is a great bike.But ,if you are up and coming or even a somewhat quick Vet like myself who races/rides tracks only and doesn't have a suspension guy 24 -7 it's a better fit to get a Big 4 bike of any color,IMHO.Now,if you have a shop of your own or a buddy at KTM who hooks you up? Why not ride orange?Not bad bikes at all.Well crafted.Just don't feel as stable on whooped out,jumpy,stutter filled tracks at "speed".I wouldn't hesitate to woods ride or trail ride one.Obviously they do see the value of the linkage as they are going that way soon.

KTM's are fine bikes and they don't need a linkage, They need a shock that doesn't overheat and fade. IMO KTM if anything is guilty of overthinking and trying to fix problems that do not exist. i.e. their dumb ass gas caps. As far as the top four motocross companies producing a better mouse trap? Ah no, they all have quirks and issues. Try to ride everything you can and pick the one that YOU like best.

Maybe so, but I hear that they are putting linkage on there for 2010. sounds futuristic!

You’re right they do see value in adding the linkage, but IMO it’s more of a marketing value than a technical value.
