I have no clue what's happening but everyone is saying the relationship is over. maybe the ink isn't dry but something is rotten in Denmark.
In situations like this, both parties have to remain silent until all the ink dries.

Im not saying that Bubba is gone for sure, but if he is, we wont find out til its long been settled. That's just the way it is, and has to be. Think of it from the team/sponsors perspective. I know we all want our information "yesterday" but it cant happen that way in these sorts of situations I would think.

I think rather than call JBone, the journo should have put a call into Ping to get the official story on that tweet of his.

Jomoto..........they try but sometimes not enough bank in the bank.......and in stewarts case big problems with personal vs. corporate sponsors..........which again related to $$$$$$$$

great CN article by Carruthers and probably several hundred italian MotoGP boards burning to the ground over the Rossi deal!!

They didn't want him or his dad anymore. Don't think people realize how much of a nuisance his dad is to his kids teams.

Amen, brother! Those championships he was knocking down every year were a god damn nuisance. That perfect outdoor season must have been damn near unbearable to suffer through, too.

Ah, you need to go over the list of riders that have gone through the exact same thing. Including Ricky C who has said on numerous occasions, that he was always completely baffled by the way Kawasaki treated him. They just left him out in the wind with no offer and no word and he had to go elsewhere.

So I guess you are saying his family is why they did that as well.

OR

maybe you are talking out your ass, don't have a clue what you are talking about and should shut your mouth instead of insulting someone who is widely considered one of the nicest guys in the sport.

Matthes has discussed this on the PulpMx show a couple times, but mainly a couple weeks ago. The same thing happened to Carmichael and Stewart. Carmichael wanted an offer at least and Kawi basically didn't offer much to get him to stay.

Stewart waited and waited for Kawi, then they didn't offer crap. I think Matthes said Kawi did offer them contracts, but they were way, way, way down deep lowball offers to both of them.

Kawi does a good job, but they seem like total dickheads [as a company].

Yeah for some reason Kawi seems to just let people walk out the door before they hit their prime. How many races/championships have RC/JS go on to win after leaving Kawi? It's like a mother bird or something. Kawi raises them up from a baby(amateur program), then once they learn to fly, shoves them outta the nest. After Villopoto's sweep of 2 SX titles, Outdoor title, and MEC, it'll be interesting to see if he's on a Kawi after his contract expires. They'll probably just let him walk right out the door. Idiots.

Last I checked this wasn't about RC. I'm not saying Kawasaki doesn't do some mind boggling things, nor am I saying Big James isn't a nice guy, I'm simply stating that he is difficult for the teams to deal with.

Back in 2004 at Unadilla I went to Stewarts motor home to get an autograph on a pic I took but he was inside. Big James was outside and saw me holding the picture and said he would go inside and have James sign it for me. He did that and had James come out and give it to me, Big James also signed it. So I know first hand he's a nice guy but I also know from people on teams that he is tough to work with.

If their still talking.....

What are the odds of ruling something like this out?

I wonder if we will see James do his own thing on a Suzuki under his own tent and bringing on JGR as part of the team?
He could still run some of their stuff & promote them to keep his foot in the door there.
And that would get him away from the Yamaha (if that is what he is looking to do.)

Things could get more interesting.....who knows?

Stewart wasn't all that thrilled when Kawi brought on Monster as the title sponsor of their team......
I remember when that all went down.
Clashed with his RedBull deal and he wasn't happy.
I'm pretty sure that is part of the reason James left Kawi and rekindled with RedBull.
But at the same time,Kawi knew what they were doing.

Anyone notice in the new MXA the article about currencies the cartoon bike in the pic is #7 zuke? I'm sure I'm not the only one. I saw it as Jody having some inside info and having a little fun with it.

Jesus, with fans like his I would be telling some people fuck off. Has anyone read some of the comments he gets? It's border line hate mail. So much for positive reinforcement.

lolol. not to mention, out of the three of them, RV2 is the ONLY one with any sense of humility (in my humble opinion). I tend to think most Japanese see humility as a virtue.

It's brutal. He gets the same stuff on twitter, instagram, and on his personal website, too. I know high profile pro athletes get paid a boatload of money but I'm not sure the money would be worth it to me, to have thousands of random people talking crap to me at all possible opportunities. From the comments it seems he killed some of their firstborn children!

I'm not a fan of a few guys riding right now, but I certainly don't blow up their twitter accounts with a bunch of "you're a f'n loser" comments!

Yea it's insane. It would be a cold day in hell when I would tell a rider that's 100x faster than myself to "Instead of making a commercial you need to focus on not crashing" WTF? Baffled! or how to ride for that matter.

Please give us an example of how James' dad is a nuisance to work with. You must have worked with him right? You gave us a "great" example on how he signed your autograph. Where's the example that he's difficult to work with? One person comes to mind when you use nuisance and dad in the same sentence and that is Tony.

just a heads up to you guys, the rider rarely ever looks at their website or fan-facebook pages. they have PR guys for that.

twitter and their personal facebook pages are most likely all they look at.

still no excuse for all the assholes who say that shit to them, but for what it's worth

What a mess.

Great thread, BTW. If getting off the Yamaha, gives him back his confidence and nothing else, I hope he does it. Big James may be, "Mini Dad" all grown up, but it sounds like he is good to the fans. I've neve had the opportunity to meet James Stewart, but I certainly wish him no Ill will. Mostly want to see is him get his head back in the game and show us some racing! So what he's fallen on hard times. When I saw him ride in person, he was electric, doing things I didn't think were possible.

Im not hating on James if you think I am. I was just posting that cause this morning his team is saying he is hurt and a few hours later he is filming a commercial.
