Just want to know what brand knee braces you think is best. I will not buy another set of Astericks after this weekend(tore my ACL and LCL). Thanks for your input.

Was just looking at some PODS. They look pretty good.

Says RX only though. Not sure how that works with your insurance and all that.

I just got some pods and they seem great and this is after having asterisk for 10 years.

Like the above post said that no brace will prevent blow outs.

Sorry to hear about the injury, it's a long road to recovery, been there and done that.

Thanks guys, I will have to check out those Donjoy's. I dont blame the braces, i just feel like the astericks dont protect as well as others. My insurance will cover the pods just have to talk to my doctor.

Just my sugestion, I have had a complete knee re-construction. ACL transplant, both miniscus have been repaired, also bone micro fracture repairs and cartalege repairs. I use the EVS WEB. It's carbon fibor and fits like a glove. I'm a VET racer and safety gear is a major concern for me. For me, It's the best. Good luck, Any knee brace is better than none.

I say DONJOY as well.

Overall, they make more bracing products for professional athletes than anyone else! The motocross specific companies from my understanding were started by people that use to work at DonJoy.

They say getting one "made for you is the best option".

and don't even think about getting the cheap EVS braces, they're cheap for a reason... The WEBS are better but I'd still go with Donjoy.

I'm 3 weeks post PCL/ACL replacement, shredded menicus and lateral, so this is a topic I'm "on" right now...

I've got a set of EVS WEB knee braces. Can't really say anything bad about em, first set of knee braces I've ever had. Really like the idea of the crumple zones they supposedly have to protect you femur. Whether this is real or just marketing who knows... I do have to say of all the knee braces I've seen in person (CTi, Asterisk, DonJoy, Asterisk, and PodMX), the pod looks the nicest and like it would be most comfortable by far. They look really low profile and felt considerably lighter than my WEB's. Probably will be the next knee braces I buy.
