so if my math is correct, if a 107% rule were in effect, anyone slower than a 51.399 would be out.

It would need to be around 103% for sx to be effective. I suggested this months ago and got laughed at. I am all for 10 rider gates. If you can't win you can't race. This is the pro's right?
for daytona, at 107, there would only be 18 guys qualified for 450s. again, if my math is correct. probably not. Dizzy

So true that its not for everyone.......however you got to start somewhere. He knows his limits and that he's got tons of work to do.

Step one when he comes home is to build up a whoops track........he's flipped twice in them in both practices trying to blitz them lol. Good thing I help work on his tracks....

not to be mean, but lets be real. you dont "have to start somewhere". he could just not do it at all. hes never going to make a living doing it and like what already happened 3 laps in, hes just going to get hurt.
or how about the AX tour?

I see nothing wrong with the guy chasing his dream, rolling the dice and giving it a try. I respect what you are saying though.

No offense taken. And like I mentioned this is his first supercross ever. It's not like he can't ride, and yes he has raced arenacross for two years now.

I know and he knows that he aint gonna set the world on fire. Shoot half the riders are just like him, and can't make a living doing this. However he's got a right to at least try to race Supercross and then go from there.

Racing a Pro Supercross is more impressive to me than being the fucken President of the United States. Just saying. I could fake that shit anyday. No way I could qualify for a SX main.

oh im sure hes a hell of a rider. its amazing what those supercross tracks can make a good A rider look like. is he running nationals? probably stands a much better chance at that. your top 20 or 30 guys in sx are riding sx tracks almost every single day. not everyone has that opportunity. nationals are much easier to be prepared for IMO.

Supercross has a steep, fast learning curve. Tell him to stick with it and not be to upset. Don't worry about people like snarington, who it seems started drinking a bit early.

How do you know he'll never make a living at it? People have said that same crap about others that went on to race for years and make a decent living.

Anyone can be an actor, fake shit, lie and hide shit. That comes naturally as a human being. Racing pro supercross. Not so much.

I hate people who minimize the effort it takes to even try at this level. Haters like sbarrington can eat a dick unless he is going to get out there and do better.

Looks like Mookie almost ate it in the whoops in that clip. This weeks track looks like you have to have your timing down especially well to stay consistent and smooth.
