Thanks for the info, going to have to buy it, the first person thing was the only thing stopping me.

I just got the new MUD (Official FIM Motocross World Championships) game today, but I haven't had time to try it out. Hopefully it's better than the material they have released from that game.

I was gonna ask the same question Ramrod...

Back to the question at hand, after I got sick of Alive I put Reflex back in and it was a whole new challenge re-adapting my riding style for that game. And it's a better game IMO. Only needed a few tweaks to be great but that can of worms doesn't need to be re-opened.

It's been months since I played either. Still waiting for my invite JV.....

Mx Unleashed for the original Xbox was the best one to me. If it had online support, it would be the best ever.

i think the game won't be released until next month, but I got the full working version. I tried it out a little yesterday and it's more like arcade game compared to Alive or Reflex. Although it was really nice that you could actually ride with real bike brands and riders, the tracks aren't anything like the real ones, for example Glen Helen was placed in middle of forest with water falls and everything and layout was just something random. It is really easy to learn (for example scrubbing is just pushing one button) and might be fun for non-moto player, but for players looking for more realistic feeling I would recommend sticking with Reflex.

I also liked the fact that I could ride with Yoko gear that my little brother has designed in real life ; )

Motocross Madness2 and MX vs ATV Unleashed (still play the game to this day) are on the top of my list.

Downloaed PureMx Pure motocross by William Ford for the iPhone. In the beginning I hated it, felt wrong but the more I played it, the better it became. It will not change your cosmos, but while sitting and waiting for stuff it's an excellent way to kill time! Have issues with the iPhone touch screen since you needs some moisture on your fingers to active the controls adequately...

So what your saying is Mud is just a terrible arcade version of Untamed?
Bummer to hear because Untamed sucks after experiencing full body control in Reflex/Alive
as for the OP you honestly should get Alive for Xbox 360 download the patch find a freind with the DLC bikes go on his account download them onto your Xbox and this is the most important part to having fun on Alive you must turn of all the Assist or the physics are gonna be very unrealistic if u leave cornering assist on you will feel like your riding a 2 wheel drive machine with a front tire that feels like it has metal spikes coming out of it

Reflex but it could have been so much better.

MTX Mototrax was good, Motocross Madness 2 was great, the EA supercross game on PS1 too.

How are the physics? dont really care about the scenery stuff just the game play and physics. I was hoping this game would be the next coming of reflex but once i found out no reflex control kind of lost hope. bro how you get a copy of game before its officially out? I will purchase anyway ,getting tired of playing reflex for so long.

The scenery is what annoys me the most on these games. Like in Alive, the couple of tracks that are in the middle of a rainforest, the shadowing on the track makes it impossible to see, and you can end up crashing or off the track cos you cant see the track to work out where you want to turn or what line you want to take.

I did turn off the assist and the online patch was for fixing the goon style rider? i did that also. I gave alive 3 or 4 weeks of play time and finally decided to frisbee the cd out the window.. Alive is/was a bust and unit sales dictate that. Maybe you like it but to me its one of the worst mx game ive played. I did like the wheelie and sound of the game thoughTongue

Use the ''tab'' key to switch views .
BTW MX Sims is the most addictive MX game i've played . At first it's hard but after playing alot , you get the hang of it . Just like in real life . We all started on an MX bike and , i remember , i was baby steps . Nobody said it was easy.

But for $42 an free DLC ( tracks , bikes , apparel ) it's a steal . You even get the latest supercross track BEFORE the night show .

Enjoy

Dude, if you could give specific data to the creator (geometry, weight distribution, torque curve etc), he would probably put your bike into the game. That would be sick.
Ha, I am neither confirming nor denying that this is what I was thinking...

sigh. i'm bummed that mud went casual instead of hardcore.

just another case of trying to please the masses by making it too user friendly, when the masses probably aren't interested in the title to begin with.

another motocross game coming out and tanking does not bode well for anything being produced in the future Sad

I have been patiently waiting for 2XL games to tackle a new MX game. if I'm not mistaken, that's where most of the MCM2 brains still are, not to mention Stephane Roncada.

For me, it's either Mad Skills and Reflex now.
If I feel nostalgic, Supercross Circuit for PS1.
Supercross Circuit was the ish!!@ brake plus whip plus lean forward equals mega whip.

Reflex is where its at. The best moto game i have ever played. mx vs. atv unleased comes in a close second to reflex becuase the supercross tracks in that game were amazing.

i've been waiting for this since Motocross Madness 3 was cancelled.

i bought the full version of 2XL Motocross for my android and it's awesome. very limited in options, but there's some fun tracks and the gameplay feels just like the old MX Unleashed but cleaner and smoother.

MUD will be interesting, i'll get it just because i'm fan of everything moto, maybe it will be updated and release tracks correctly unlike Alive.

also, put the power of the bikes from Alive and a 20 track pack into Reflex and you'd have a sure winner.
