The one thing I never did on purpose was switch lines in mid air. EVER! Yes, I own the line, given that my competitors at least have a chance to change theirs. I couldn't live with myself if I put someone in a wheelchair over a stupid race. Everything else is fair game

BUT...

if you're in front of me and pulling that crap , all rules about clean passing go out the window too and you would likely end up on the ground anyway, especially if you cross jump me. The rider in front owns the line AND sets the tone of how he wants to be raced against.

Back yard racing with my daughter. She's getting aggressive in the corners. I come in hot and clip out her front wheel. She falls. She cries. I feel bad as a father. It's a Win!!!!!

Everything except to intentionally hurt someone....

If a guy is faster than me, he'll find a way to get around me. But I won't give it to him.

I'm not a dirty rider but I don't mind rubbing elbows if someone wants it that way.

I have brake checked my best friend and then t-boned him two turns later to win a race on the final lap. Pops taught me long ago friendship ends when the gate drops. I do not know when some fans of this sport changed into whiny referee's, but somewhere along the line they got a misconception that moto is a cordial non contact sport. Blink

The last time I was racing I was 29 and in the B class.. I took a kid out with 2 corners to go for the W.. His Dad was pissed at him and said you let that old man beat you?? He is over there smoking a cigarette and he beat you!!!

I would rather be in 2nd on the last lap and right behind someone than have them right behine me... I seem to make mistakes on that last lap when they are there.

I would've done pretty much anything to win a main event. Even without winning I did some stuff, pulled hands off of throttles, came to a stop in deep grooves if someone was behind me, brake checked on jump faces, anything it took.

Today's fans and racers are soft.

It's always been a contact sport for me. I've been known to contact the ground, other riders, fences, trees.....you name it.

You've obviously never seen me race.

I will do anything or park anyone to move up even a single spot mid-pack. Never mind defending a lead.

I ride a very wide bike when I need to. Sportsmanship is shit we do off the track. On the track we're racing. Take no prisoners!

I'm trully amazed by the responses here, I was raised that if someone else is beating you in a race or fight or what ever, you take it like a man, do what it takes after the race to become faster so it doesn't happen again, I guess that plastic trophy means more to people than actually being a decent human being .

This thread just tells me that if I raced a lot of people on here I would want to beat the shit out of them after the race if they pulled some "moves" like this haha.

I wouldn't move over in the air (on purpose) but I'd take someone out in a corner if they left the door open. I tend to race clean though, I actually enjoy beating people with speed not 'tactics'

If its someone I respect, or a friend, ill bump them a little, push them high in the corner.. Maybe cut in front of them on a straight away to throw some dirt at them.. But if its someone who is known to be a dirty rider, ill take out there front wheel!
I had a problem with this kid who purposly slammed into me, bent my radiator, was cussing at me while our bikes were stuck together, flicked off my friend, and roosted my dad inthe pits.. The next moto, and for the rest of the year in fact everywhere time i was near him i made sure i was more aggressive then with any other rider

It's not about "taking it like a man" it's called being competitive. Most males with normal testerone levels possess a competitive side which refuses to lose. Bragging rights and that feeling of fighting until the end means alot more than that little plastic trophy as you call it.

Everything EXCEPT move over in the air, never, under any circumstances.

You forgot reaching over and grabbing other riders front brake lever, boot to the fork leg, kicking shift lever down.

But at my age now and I am not in the show, I will move over if you want the position that bad and we can have a beverage at the finish.

i am not up for cross jumping but throwing a nice whip in their direction is fair game. tires on the groud I will try and expect the other rider to try anything to stay ahead or move up. Money on the line makes it game on.

I race everyweekend and am guilty of all above except cross jumping. I got landed on once from cross jumping and since then thought its just bad ju-ju. Everything else is fair game. I ride to win and remember "If your not 1st your last" lol

Hmmm. Followed you a few times Mr. BobbyM. Yes you were a road block. But a fast moving road block! Man in front owns the line.

So true Bobby! You did lighten my wallet at the end of the day a few times! I might have squeezed a few bucks out of you at the payout trailer. At least I hope I did.

Hate to take a line from *gasp!* a NASCAR driver but, Tony Stewart said it best, "i would take out my own mother to win!"

Haha!! I never took out my own mom, but I had a step mom that I rode a Mothers day team race with at Indian Dunes ,and I would of paid to see someone else take her out.

Ooops, did I say that out loud? Woohoo

well...would you?

I know if i was racing I'd do everything possible to finish ahead of a guy that was simply a little faster than me but still behind me.
I wouldn't, but that's just not my riding style. If other's do I can't blame them.

When I was a kid our moms would sow holsters into our leathers, shots were fired at each other after corner two,

never before corner two - etiquette demanded that.

What did we know, we were kids - and we became great shots, racing our damn dirt bikes.

When I was a kid ( 14 ) I'd won a bunch of races in our area easily , well this one race I got a bad start, came through, crashed, came through, crashed and came through again

Lap to go I caught the kid that was leading but it was a tight track and he was filling the whole thing so I figured if I wreck us both I know I can get up and going faster than he can so I cleaned us both out in a wide sweeper and we both endoed BIG TIME.

Sure enough I got my ass up and going while he was still trying to figure out WTF just happened.

Won the race... but my Mum saw it and knew exactly what I'd done and ripped my a new one like never before, I just said " Right on Mum - but I'd do it again tomorrow to win".

At one time I raced 100cc and 125cc The 125cc class was full of aggressive riding and payback was hell. At 15 years old I started riding a 250. I always thought I raced fairly clean and followed the golden rule for the most part. I think some riders just did not like me because of my age. But then again I have had spectators throw shit at me during a race. Thats when you know you have gone too far?
