If a rider can find a way to communication/verbalize his personality (e.g. TC41 or CR22) and speak with confidence and conviction, they will develop a following of people who appreciate the insight they provide... it's the proverbial broken sponsor record that become noise and therefore an easily forgotten rider among the motocross fans.

Guys like Chad, RC and Fro are in a unique position to give some insight that many people won't have.

I'm a fan of racing and like that there are a few guys that have their own personality and shake things up a bit.
Most of the time the folks that get upset are fans of the rider that is being spoken of in an unfavorable light.

Some people give Trey a hard time about speaking his mind about religion and his beliefs but that is just Trey talking about what he believes.
Some folks take that type of thing as a negative for whatever reason but to me it falls into the same category......that is Trey speaking his mind about what he thinks and feels.

Not exactly the same conversation but I think in both cases the rider has every right to talk about it......that is part of who they are.

Not really referring to what people say on the podium, because this isn't a good guage of what people really say in many cases. Just think the world could use a little more kindness, including not always saying what you want if it hurts other people's feelings. I know I'm old school.
