Husky 390 parts

Trying to help one of my friends out.

He need a few cylinder studs for his husky 390 & none of the normal parts guy's have any.

We've tried vintage husky, vintage iron & husquavarna (sp) parts.com, also the husky club.

Anyone got a lead for us?

Try George at Uptite in Anahiem CA, or Dan at Motoxotica in Vacaville CA. They have suprised me with the parts they have.

try cafe husky or maybe its husky cafe and also try up tite husqvarna, the owner knows all about huskys

What is special about them Howard? Thread pitch, length, stepped, British Whitworth???Smile

These started life as a 4 inch long allen head bolt. Might save you a step or two in the machining process if you have to get some made. Of course I don't know that for a fact unless Tydog cares to chime in.Smile

Joe,

They go all the way from the head into the cases.

9x195 with 30mm 1.25m thread on the case end& about 20on the head end.

I tried my local fastener & bolt out let, but no go on the length.

We have one NOS to go by, but need a few more.

I was going to say what about a high grade threaded rod but a quick look shows 9mm is very uncommon.
One more thought is join the Husky group on yahoo and post a wanted there?

Joe,

Going tonight, found a crack on the rear part of the Maico frame.

Hopefully he has the lathe working, things have change a bit since his partner moved out.
