That night moto kicked ass imho.

James is unbelievable and Mike is getting closer. What a great season of moto so far.

ALESSI HOLESHOT AND LEADING JAMES KICKED ASS DIDN'T IT?

it was good to see him hold him off for longer than usual...

Bobby I got to give your boy credit. The gap between 1st and 2nd is still a few yards away, but he continues to increase the disctance from 2nd to 3rd and further. He is getting faster and you can tell he is hanging it out more!!!!!!

He's gaining confidence, I'd imagine. Wow, could you imagine him acquiring the speed and taking some motos from Stew? Hard to believe...but it would be cool to see someone give James a race. If it happens, I hope Stewart doesn't start to implode like he did when RC was handing it to him. I'd hate to see Stew drop out of the sport due to injury.

The race looked like amature photography on TV in HD. It was a nice first effort but really served no purpose. It would have been better live and on tv if they ran it on sunday. The riders did not seem to like it either.

It is one thing to try new things for a purpose but new just to be different makes no sense. Millville in December would be new and different but would make about as much sense.

Put the bong down if you think alessi held James off or is "getting closer". JS ripped of a 2:13 compared to MA 2:17 after he blew his doors off in that corner.

dont know about that BUT he is getting faster as he learns from JBS by following his lines for as long as he can keep him in sight. but definately has "reeds syndrome" which isnt a bad thing when JBS makes a mistake...

James has another gear. He could beat Mike Alessi with boxing gloves and roller skates on. Getting closer, pfft, please.....

The two of them are a lot faster than the field. Sounds familiar. I wish MA would give Stewart less room when he is passing. JS showed no (little) respect for RC and others, when he was the guy in 2nd place. (not bashing JS, loving his style these days).
MA looks fit as hell, and focused as hell. Glad he is not crashing his brains out trying to stay with Stewart. It will be hard for JS to have a perfect season if MA stays 10-15 seconds behind.

MA wants to have a clean race... he knows bubba can take him out at will when coming from behind so he doesnt want to have bad blood between them so when he does beat JBS it will be becuz a clean pass not a AC move...

Yeah, but you have to get in his head a little bit. Right now he knows he can push him out of the way. He won't beat JS with friendly riding. I don't like cheapshots, but racing ain't slow pitch softball.

Thanks for posting that.Man,I bet the Euro guys would love that track.Looked very fast and relatively smooth compared to most of our tracks.Didn't see too many ruts either. Not a lot to separate the men from the boys except maybe the elevation.Good on Mikey for riding so well at the start.Hope he keeps making the racing closer and closer.

I was very happy to see Mike out front for that long. His time is coming, no doubt about it. Kid has drive to be the best. Thanks for the footy, BM.

You old guys remember riders that were happy when they finished as "First American", well props to Alessi for finishing First Human, because James Stewart ain't from this planet.

My jaw hit the floor when James did some of those scrubs over the blind jump, nobody else could do shit like that.

And BTW all you euro heros who said Everts was/is faster than James just need to watch this race , and then STFU.

actually, it was 2:13 compared to a 2:14...about 1 second on the fastest laps according to the broadcast.

But, don't get your hopes up for Mike running Stews pace. As soon as James passed him, MA slowed down a couple of seconds. James put in a couple more blazing laps...pulled 10 seconds or so, then cruised. But, even cruising, they were gapping 3rd.

The scrub that James did at the 5:16 mark was crazy.

james doing that stuff on a 2 stroke 125 or even a 250f seems plausible, but on a 450? that's ludicrous!

James is just having fun and in cruise control.... he has ALOT more speed if needed, and you can tell he is just toying and playing it safe. MA is riding awesome!!! and is hanging it out right to the edge, and I love his determination, but he is not catching James heads up...not even close.

he has more speed maybe...but I doubt if he has a lot more and if he did and unleashed it he'd be in a cast right now

That is a great point, I would love to see the GP guys over here on a track like that which is more like what they are used to.

Alessi should go to the NHRA when his 2 wheel days are done.
