I apologize for posting this in wrong forum but the game room just doesn't get the traffic. There has been a pretty strong push by a few of us including one in particular who created a FB and Twitter petition page to try to convince the corporate giant, EA Sports, to give our sport a true representation of AMA Supercross.
Back in 2000, EA made an excellent sim for N64 and PS1. It had heats, points series, lcqs, real track layouts (EA was the actual sponsor of SX that year so that part was easy), riders and bikes. They even had Art and David calling the action. The sequel was an arcade mess and then there was no more EA Supercross.
But our sport is at an all time high for exposure and attendance. Witness all the live coverage on Speed and Atlanta's 70,000 sellout!
Thankfully, THQ's series finally is dead and buried. They never really got it. And yes, I love MXS but we need a Madden/NHL12/NBA2k12 of Supercross!! Our sport deserves a next gen replication of what we love so much at the arenas and every Saturday night on Speed!!
So I am coming to you guys at Vital...the greatest MX community on the planet...and pleading you to Tweet EA at @EASPORTS and at @EA and tell them you want AMA Supercross 2013.
Via Twitter we have already got a response saying that EA will do what the fans want but we have to be realistic. Unless it was already in their plans it is going to take A TON of requests for them to do it. Ralph Sheheen responded to the petition's originator saying he too would love to see a game.
Here is the Twitter page for the Petition.
@EAsupercross
In addition to tweeting their is a FB page.

Even if you aren't a gamer please help. Video games REALLY help promote sports to those who wouldn't normally follow them. I know I became a hockey fan thru EA's NHL94.
We are about to have MUD Fim motocross (which I am SOO excited for) but we all know SX would sell better than World MX, at least here in the States. There is a huge void in this market so please help us and make EA Supercross 2013 a reality.
Thanks, everyone.

So please bug all your friends to do this!!

I mean I know there are ton's of people who would love to fire up the PS3 or 360 on a Saturday night after the Goat, Ralph and Fro call the races and race the exact replica tracks with their favorite rider inn EA Supercross 2013.

But if everyone at Vital would take a few seconds and Tweet EA at @EASPORTS and tell them you want EA Supercross 2013 it might could happen. I would thikn that they have at least considered it. They pretty much do every other sport so why not ours???
Please continue and if you have any other ideas to help spread our request please do so.
The only problem I have is that they have RV on the cover for 2013. Season is not over yet.
Could we create a paper petition to take to the races and get signatures of all the fans? Think of how many signatures just a few petitioners at each SX round could get with the attendance numbers. I am going to STL SX and would do so if I could get a petition waiver before the end of the week!
Twitter is great, but alot of people are not on twitter.
1. tweak the bikes/actions slightly
2. forget ALIVE ever happened
3. Employ the concept of creating riders/teams like all their other games
4. Create a point series(pick tracks, pick riders...go)
5. Track Creator is a must(and it has to be usable online)
6. i could go on for days...
EA has the money to do ti right...buy the shit from THQ/Rainbow and make it happen
Pit Row
EA doesn't give a shit about your petition or how many signatures it has, the notion that they will just design a supercross game from the ground up because a bunch of dudes on twitter and facebook made a ruckus about it is comedic gold.
EA wouldn't even touch the game unless the demographic and projected potential consumers were in their "give-a-fuck" region, which I might add, it is not even close. I'm sure the only reason they did it in 2000 was because they were a primary sponsor, but that is just a highly educated guess.
I don't even know why you would want EA to be the proprietor. It's EA.. The result is a shitty game that doesn't even come close to any of your standards made by a shitty developer that doesn't give a rats ass about what you have to say about the game or what should be done to improve it for next year (if there even was one....yeah there wasn't last time)
It's hilarious too, because unless your computer is from 2004 (sorry bro time 2 upgrade) you already can run the best motocross game available to play in MX Simulator behind a developer that will listen more and do more than EA could ever dream of doing.
Point is, I don't see it ever happening, and I don't know why you would ever want it to happen, you would just be disappointed with it guaranteed.
